I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

Cool how long does it take to get accepted to the university? If you do get accepted to the nursing programis there an interview?[/quote']

I applied on oct 1st and got accepted within the last week.

As far as I know.. There is no interview. I know csulb gives interviews

Oh and do they calculate points based on your individual or national teas score?????

Individual.... Only English and reading comprehension counts but you still have to pass science and math

What's considered a pass for the other sections? 70%?

Are you sure they look at individual because I read other threads on CSULA and it says different ooh im so worried now/;

Oh can't edit my previous post but I see that passing all sections on teas is to rank above 40th percentile national. So you can basically fail math and science and still pass -_-.

And then points is based on individual percentile rank points for subscale scores Nation subscale score.......wat. Because on your teas there's a national percentile rank and then adjusted individual score. So i'm guessing it is the national percentile rank they look at, not adjusted?

Wait a minute.....if they look at National percentile rank and not adjusted individual score, then that means we get higher score! =D??!! Yeah?

From what I understand, they consider your reading and English scores only for acceptance but you still need to pass the min passing score for science and math but those do not count

"Completion of the standardized Assessment Technologies Incorporated (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills is mandatory for all applicants. Points will be assigned for the above earned scores for Reading and English subscale scores according to the point structure below. Students are expected to have a National Percentile Rank above the 40th percentile in all four content areas to be considered eligible for admission to CSULA’s Basic Nursing program."

So you're suppose to look at National percentile rank. Well I've been looking at the wrong score the whole time haha. This thread is awfully quiet, and the entire California section. Lurkers gonna lurk.

Now I'm confused!!! I gotta look at my test results again

I think for reading and English it's the individual scores but for math and science you have to get above 40% nationally. even tho they only count reading and English, you still have to pass math and science.

Nah it's the National percentile rank for English and Reading apparently.

Lol @ this conversation.

Is anyone applying to the masters/NP ELMN option? The RN/BSN folks seems to be able to submit their applications, but those applying to grad program are having some trouble. The paper application materials still say Summer 2013....

Does anyone know how strict the grade cut offs are? Like if they said we need at least a "B" in the sciences... should I even bother applying if I got a B+ in anatomy lecture and a C in anatomy lab at UC Berkeley? Do they average classes that split their lab and lecture?

also does anyone know how to check class equivalencies? I took Nutritional sciences 10 *Introduction to human nutrition at UC Berkeley but I'm not sure if its the same as "Human nutrition" prerequisite for CSULA. I tried to use the assist.org site but it didnt really... assist me in my situation.

Thanks a bunch!
