Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

Are you calculating teas % scores or the percentile ranks? you are supposed to count your percentile rank, not the grade percentage of the section..

Plz let me know which one from my reading score for example

You use the national percentile rank for the section…

Your reading national percentile rank is 77

math is 92, science 92 but I can't see your english percentile rank… anyway.. that is the column to see your national percentile rank

Pre-req GPA: (Website says all 6 courses in pre-req GPA are weighted the same, so it doesn't matter if one course had more units than the other) A, A, A, A-, B+, B+ = 3.7

= 8 points

Cumulative GPA: 3.69 when I turned in my application, and 3.72 when I turned in my fall 2013 transcripts after my application.

= 4 or 5 points

I am not sure if they grade the TEAS on the National Percentile Rank OR Individual Score because the site says:

(Individual Percentile Rank National Subscale Score), but either way, I would have gotten the same score:

Reading: National: 83% Individual: 83.3% = 4 points

English: National: 99% Individual: 93.3% = 5 points

I turned in verification of 199 volunteer hours, but 164 actual hands-on care = 2 points

Total: 23 or 24 points

J Friday are you sure she applied to BSN program??? It seems so early. :nailbiting: Maybe we'll be classmates =)

Prereq GPA: 3.96 (10) finished all prereqs.

Overall GPA: 3.76 (5)

TEAS Reading: 91% (5)

TEAS English 95% (5)

Experience: 200 hrs volunteer (2)

Under the Percentile Rank column there are the National and Program categories.. they use the score in the National columnto calculate the points..

ANd Yup...

She is the one that helped me fill out my app... And she told me where to drop it off.. We were in the same classes... Maybe she got the letter because she definitely would not make it...

"ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE COMMENCES FINAL RANKING PROCESS"

Do you think they will send out acceptances on time this year? Or do you think it will be sent out towards the end of April just like past years?

I think they will because the deposit is due on May 1st and for previous years the deposit was due on June 1st.

I wonder if there's not a lot of people applying this year, given the fact that in previous years, this thread would have like 20 people atleast responding once, but there's only been about 6 people this year.

I wonder also. I currently go to CSULA and I'm surprised that there's still a lot of seats open for spring's micro class.

Also, a lot of people at CSULA changed their majors from pre-nursing to something else because getting the pre-req classes were really difficult.
