Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

I thought rejection letters came way after acceptance letters

And about a week ago I got an email from M reminding me to apply for financial aid

This shiz just got real!!

This is what CSULA said:"The prerequisite GPA is computed using the following six prerequisite courses: Chemistry 151*, Biology 200A & 200B*; English 101*, Oral Communication 150*, and a *General Education Critical Thinking Course, or the equivalent courses taken elsewhere."

So those ^ are the only ones taken into account. Stats and micro are not included

woohoo!!! Right now I'm supposed to be studying, but rather sit online and lurk and see if anyone else has gotten rejection letters from CSULA as well.

Did someone really receive a rejection letter already? They said that rejection letters come later, after acceptances have been sent out.

Ahh, if I calculated correctly, I should have 23 or 24 points. 23 since my overall GPA was 3.6 when I turned in the application. 24 if they realize that my GPA went up to a 3.7 when I sent my Fall 2013 transcripts.

Yes, my friend got the letter... She's real upset about it, so im not gonna ask her her score anytime soon...

She didn't even tell me until i tild her that i didnt get into Long Beach (stupid in-progress, default C!!! still ****** about that)

Well, at least CSULA isn't going to count your progress grade as a C. CSULA is your first choice isn't it?

No CSULB was my 1st choice.. You can complete the program in 2 years instead of 3. And there is no +/- grading system, as getting an A- can screw your GPA when trying to enter a masters program...

Oh… I just rechecked.. I have a 28/31 not 27… So I think I should be safe here… not LB, but I guess I just have to work harder (and a year longer) to save my 4.0 GPA...
