CSULA 2015 ABSN Program

Hi all,

I saw the thread for the BSN Basic program, and wanted to start this one. I'm taking the TEAS on 12/20 for the first time (eek!) because I had to take the GREs for my other apps. I saw that the BSN Basic program has a point system. Does the ABSN program have that too? And do we need to sent in verification of volunteer hours too?

@jackbandit

If it's not too impolite to ask, can you share with us your GPA or TEAs score?

Sure thing.

Undergrad: 3.47

Master's level (not complete): 4.0

Prereqs: 3.9? (didn't calculate it exactly)

Science prereqs: 4.0

TEAS: 99th percentile for all areas

I called in the office today but both the grad coordinator and assistant aren't there :(

And wow! @jackbandit those are good stats. For the TEAS, the coordinator had told me that mostly all the applicants have a 99% in the national ranking!

Man, this waiting game is driving me a bit crazy. :drowning: haha

I'm checking my email every hour!

Yeah I'm with you @lexical. I called into the office yesterday and today and it seems that the coordinator only works that job M-W so we don't hear anything until Monday! We can breathe until then ;)

@lexical I've been doing the same! It seems like only one person got an invite and it was an out of state student if I'm correct. I don't even know if we should be expecting an e-mail/call yet lol :(

@snailszy Only M-W??? Eek I'm going to have a heart attack at this rate loll

and @jackbandit's stats have left me really doubting my acceptance :(

Yea I'm freaking out because I didn't receive any notification that they received my materials.. So that is why I'm calling. I'm just a mess! Haha

Thanks for that info @snailszy.

I can now take a break from my obsessive behavior until monday morning! haha

I'm at the same place as you @xochrlstinaxo. I'm wondering if I'll get an interview at all!

I'm so glad that we have this forum to share our feelings throughout these anxious times! :D

I'm new commenting on this thread, but have been stalking it for months! Now that interview invitations are starting to be sent out, just thought it would be a good time to wish everyone luck! The agony of waiting is more real than ever...

@jackbandit May I ask what letter does your last name start with?

But I got an email back from the director and she said they're still in the midst of reviewing the applications and will contact us for any missing documents.

Just as an update for you all, I received my interview invite via email yesterday. The dates offered are this week and next week (surprisingly so early)! You all will probably hear back soon! Good luck everyone!! :)
