CSUEB - Cal State East Bay Nursing BSN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hi All,

I was curious to see who else applied for CSUEB for Spring 2019?

I'm curious to see how the transition to semesters and the specific campus for Spring/Fall may have changed applicant pools.

Best of luck to everyone who applied!

I found it! Thank you! congrats to you all as well!!

Excited to meet all of you guys! ?

Hi everyone! I was wondering has anyone received an acceptance letter from CSUEB (not the nursing program)?

I don't know if I should be concerned or if others are in my position as well.

I'm very confused because I have a 4.0 gpa and a 88% on the teas and an a native to CSUEB and someone got in with a lower gpa and only a 2% more on the teas with just healthcare experience. I called them they said they could've make a mistake but wouldn't be able to get back to me till Monday.

I think they made a mistak because I have a 4.0gpa and got an 88% on the teas and am a CSUEB native I calculated the points on my own and I should have more than 100 points and it said in the email I didn't even make the alternative list. Called them and asked if they had possibly made a mistake and they said it was possible but they wouldn't be able to get back to me till Monday because it was almost 5 on Friday. Do you guys think that they made a mistake?

I calculated it an actually my points are about 95.8 but someone said they got in with like 92.5

how were you able to calculate your points? do you have the link of the point breakdown?

There is a pdf for the points on csueb nursing website. 50 for gpa. I would get all 50 for 4.0 gpa. 35 points for teas, I multiplied it by .88 for 88% on the teas and you get 15 points for being a native

I hope a mistake was made and you get a spot! I don't know that the TEAS score works that way for the point breakdown. I don't know how CSUEB calculates it, but if you look up the Sac State RN program, they have a breakdown of how TEAS points are calculated and it made sense to me when I saw it.

I'm sorry you have to wait until Monday to find anything out.

It sounds like most if not all are in the same position. I believe the University was holding off until the Nursing Program accepted their applicants. I imagine most people will see the University acceptance in the near future since the RN program has chided their qualified applicants. Those not chosen for RN program still might be offered admission into an alternate major.

Hello all! My name is Karla and I was also accepted into the program! I am honestly in disbelief, I wasn't expecting to hear back so soon. Congrats to everyone accepted and to those on the waitlist and who did not get in, do not lose hope! This is my 3rd time applying to nursing school and I was unsure about my chances of getting into the CSUEB nursing program. If you're dedicated in your mission to becoming a nurse a door will open for you at the right time :)

I am so excited to start this journey and to meet all my amazing classmates! :)

Hi all, just a reminder, can those of you who got accepted please post your stats, I am trying to get a general idea of what the stats are of who got accepted and see if they may have made a mistake with mine. Thank you!

Hi Whooopyyy, That is super weird... I did not get accepted either. I have a 3.65 overall gpa, 3.7 non-science gpa, 4.0 science gpa, and got 88.7 on the TEAs. I also speak a second language. I know my stats are not super perfect, but it seems weird to me that i didnt even make it to the wait list. I got the same email as you. I had to turn in something late, and I think that was the reason. east bay was not my first option anyway, but it is still kind of a rough start. How do you calculate the points?
