  1. Hello! I recently got accepted into the BSN program at Cal State East Bay and these were my stats: Anatomy+ Physio: A Microbiology: B Chem w/ Lab: B+ English: B- Public Speaking: A Statistics: A Critical Thinking: A TEAS:85% All the B's I got were very early in my college career when I hadn't even thought about becoming a nurse yet. I did receive extra points by being fluent in a second language (Spanish) and also having caregiver experience. I know Cal State East Bay, Hayward and Concord campus, look at applications hollistically. They've said in their info sessions before that having straight A's and a high TEAS score is not enough to get accepted. All students recieve extra points with either knowing another language or healthcare experience. I would definitely look into it and go to an info session. They've also said to have a realistic chance of getting in one should have a minimum 3.5 GPA in their prereq courses and an 80% on the TEAS. From what I remember my GPA was a bit below that so don't lose hope! There is a realistic chance of getting into a nursing school in California! Also I would look into the RN program at Los Medanos College. It's an ADN program though there is an ADN to BSN program you can apply for to Cal State East Bay. I'm pretty sure the application for their program opens in January. Good luck with everything! If you're dedicated to becoming a nurse a door will open for you at the right time!
  2. Hello all! My name is Karla and I was also accepted into the program! I am honestly in disbelief, I wasn't expecting to hear back so soon. Congrats to everyone accepted and to those on the waitlist and who did not get in, do not lose hope! This is my 3rd time applying to nursing school and I was unsure about my chances of getting into the CSUEB nursing program. If you're dedicated in your mission to becoming a nurse a door will open for you at the right time :) I am so excited to start this journey and to meet all my amazing classmates! :)
  3. My total was also 55 points! I haven't taken the TEAS yet but I'm studying! If I don't get into LMC for nursing I'll be taking the TEAS anyways. Good luck to everyone! :)
  4. Yes I got that email! When did you apply? I applied early, when the application opened and I got that letter through my email in early Feburary. It isn't until everyone who applied receives that email that we'll receive info on phase 2. Hopefully that'll be soon...
  5. Have you all been studying for the TEAs yet? I'm going to start soon.
  6. The status update came through my email. It said there was an update on my admission status, it led me to my portal and I was redirected to a letter. On my portal, my status still says 'submitted' but when I click to review my application there is a section that reads my status update that links to the letter. From my understanding the status of 'submitted' will not change. If you get accepted you will receive a phone call. If you're waitlisted you'll get a letter in the mail after all acceppted applicants get their call. If you're not admitted you'll get an email. Hope this helps! Best of luck to all of you!
  7. Hello all! Does anyone know when we should be hearing back from LMC?
  8. Hello all. Today I received an email from USF. Sadly I was not admitted to the MSN program. Best of luck to all of you! May we continue on our journey to becoming nurses, we'll all get there one way or another!
  9. I'm not sure when orientation would be but, according to the academic calendar, the first day of classes would be 5/21.
  10. Hello all! I've also applied for Summer 2018 and am anxiously awaiting for the 8 week mark! Though I was looking at the USF academic calender and Spring Break starts on 3/12!!! I'm assuming we won't hear anything until the 19th...
