CSU San Marcos ABSN Fall 2017

Hey guys!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2017 ABSN at CSUSM at the Temecula campus so we could all go through this process together and get to know each other! I know it's still early since the deadline isn't until March but I have submitted my application recently and I'm impatient.

So if anyone else has applied or is planning on applying, let's get a conversation going!

Just in case anyone was wondering. I emailed CSUSM Extended Learning because I submitted my application back in late Jan. This is what they said about evaluation worksheets.

"The evaluation process starts on that 2/1/17 and it may take 6-8 weeks for the evaluation process to be completed when all documentation is submitted. You will be sent via email your evaluation worksheet that includes your points for this program."

Hi Ellme! Thats a really competitive score! For sure you will be in. Im kind of worry about the tution, as I calculated we will spend at least $42k on tution for the entire program excluding other fees and expenses. Thats scary.

I highly recommend for you to continue checking the status of your evaluation. Initially, I applied for Summer '17 but there was a mishap. A counselor skipped over my application or something. Now my application is being pushed to Fall '17.

I just received my eval this morning! I submitted my application in late January, and it was completed in the beginning of February. So they are starting to come out, good luck to everyone!

Ellen how did you receive yours? In the mail or through email? I submitted mine late Jan. as well. I also checked my portal and I have nothing on my to do list. I'm pretty sure I submitted everything.

It was sent in an email. I know someone else who applied at the same time as me and hers actually was completed before mine and she hasn't gotten hers either. I believe everyone is assigned to a specific advisor who then does the evaluation, so some advisors just might be slower I assume.

I also received my evaluation today. It was an updated eval and it took them 3 weeks even though it should've taken "7-10 business days."
