CSU San Marcos ABSN Fall 2017

I just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2017 ABSN at CSUSM at the Temecula campus so we could all go through this process together and get to know each other! I know it's still early since the deadline isn't until March but I have submitted my application recently and I'm impatient.

So if anyone else has applied or is planning on applying, let's get a conversation going!

Nice, I'll consider that! Also wondering if this program allows students to take the NCLEX after the first year while fulfilling the BSN portion for the 2nd year.

Hello everyone,

I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at San Marcos for Fall 2017! Man oh man was it a struggle to get this far. I took the teas 5 and because so much time had passed since I took it, I had to take the teas 6 as well, just recently, so that I could be admitted. No fun. Anyways, I live in the north park area, is anyone else making a similar commute to the Temecula campus for the next two years? If so let me know, perhaps we can work out a carpool situation. Also, has anyone heard back from financial aid yet? Financing this whole thing is going to be an issue for me so I am really hoping I hear back from Financial aid ASAP so I know how I am going to go about paying for the program/living. Two good friends of mine just finished this program and gave me some great insight and it sounds like a great experience. Although I have heard nightmare stories about the HESI, makes me nervous. But I guess that is nature of the beast. Can't wait to meet everyone.
