Hey guys!
I just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2017 ABSN at CSUSM at the Temecula campus so we could all go through this process together and get to know each other! I know it's still early since the deadline isn't until March but I have submitted my application recently and I'm impatient.
So if anyone else has applied or is planning on applying, let's get a conversation going!
Good luck everyone!
Hi everyone,
I am in my second year of the ABSN program at CSUSM. I just saw your forum and wanted to let you know that I would be happy to answer as many questions as I can. One caveat: I might be of limited use about Temecula-related things as I am in a San Marcos group.

As of 5/21/17 , has anyone received any information about orientation? I was accepted and when I log onto my csusm portal I see an announcement that students accepted for fall 2017 have to register for orientation by June 15th. I'm not allowed to register at this moment so I'm just waiting. Does anybody have information?
I got my letter one of the last days of April. The acceptance letter said to submit your intent to register by a week of receiving the acceptance letter, basically a $150 dollar deposit. The very next day they sent a letter giving us some information such as applying to the FAFSA, orientation, fees and tuition, immunization requirements, and disabled student services. I haven't hear anything from the school after that. As for knowing if there is any spots left, the email didn't tell us so I would probably email the school.
Hey thepilgrim1923! What did your schedule look like for the first semester? Since I already got credit for nutrition, I will only take 2 classes and I'm wondering if I could continue to work at my current job and just commute for the first semester.
Also, how early on was your orientation/background/immunization check? They haven't given us any information and many of us are dying to know more! Thank you!!
I agree with those saying that there might not be any spots left for fall, but we don't know for sure. Your best bet would be to call or email them. I applied in mid January for the Summer cohort and got my evaluation a month and a half later. Then in late April I received an email saying Thank you for your application for Fall (even though I didn't apply for fall) and a couple days later I got the acceptance email. Turns out they rolled my application to the next cohort because Summer was already full.
@jdwong, with 38 points, I'm sure you'll get in to the Spring cohort if the Fall is already full!
