How many here has applied for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at CSULA?
I know it is a little bit early to talk about this, but I just submitted all of my grades, TEAS scores (ATI sends them to CSULA SON for you), and notification of health care work experience (dental assistant) from an employer.
It has been a long and anxious wait till April/May for letters of acceptance to come in, so I hope this thread can help everyone who is dealing with the same anxiety and stress that we are all dealing with.
So If anyone would like to share their overall "points" score, or questions regarding pre-reqs TEAS etc. I would be alright to share all of you mine, and answer some questions that I might know.
Thanks and godspeed everyone!
the 3rd wave of acceptance letters are being sent today and will be received tomorrow.they are currently calling people to notify them of their acceptances.
if you didn't get a call, it is okay because not everyone who was accepted will be called, because there are a lot of people to call.
good luck, and I hope you all can get letters tomorrow!
thx for the info I wanted to called them or go to the office, but i didnt want to be seen as impatient or desperate person.
If you are concerned about your application, I wouldn't see that as an act of "desperation." People are prone to make mistakes, and if for some reason they happen to lose or misplace your acceptance letter, you will be glad you visited the SoN office. Plus, the chance to go attend nursing school is a big opportunity so you wouldn't want something like a misplace app or acceptance letter hinder your success. Thats my 2 cents.
Since the CSUs have massive budget cuts, your class will most likely have the first year's summer quarter off . This means that you will probably graduate 1-2 quarters later than expected or (like our class did) you can probably bargain with the staff to take an extra class every quarter of the second and third year to graduate on time.
Congrats to everybody who made it.
For those of you who didn't make it, don't feel discouraged, there are options: Many people who didn't make it into a state school went directly into the (expensive) West Coast University BSN program.
