Hello All! So the time has come for a new thread for all of us applying for fall 2014. Anyone applying in March?
Yeah, I had to go to the office and they went over my file with me. She said my classes were not transferred from unlv and nsc, but when I met with the counselor he sad they were. I'm still confused. I know they were transferred cause the print out was in my file.
Also have you gone to one of the limited entry workshops?
On Thursday I spoke with the lady in limited entry and Friday I spoke with my counselor. My counselor said nothing seemed to be incomplete. I am going to speak with the head the limited entry office Monday, when I went to her office Friday she was already gone for the day. I just went to the health science orientation. Yes, I included and printed out a my csn transfer credit report.
I was also told that nothing can be done cause all the spots are taken. But I don't think that's fair. If we have more points...

I completely agree. If nothing was wrong with our applications and we have more points than other applicants and if the mistake was done in their end we shouldn't be held liable.
I went over over my application paperwork with the limited entry office and she said everything was correct.
So I am really confused and upset. And what's even worse is that even if they say it was their mistake we still have to wait and reapply next selection.
I am going to go to the limited entry office Monday morning to see if I can speak with them. And I made a copy of my application packet. So I guess I'll see what they have to say.
I have noticed nursing is really a political game here in Nevada and especially CSN.
My husband went to UNLV for nursing and he said he never applied for the program. He selected pre-nursing as his major and when he was done with his prerequisites they called him and said he was eligible.

Im not applying til Spring next year but when I met with a counselor this past Thurs she told me I had to attend a Limited Entry Workshop in addition to my Health Science Program Orientation that I attended last week. did you go to both?
It's not a requirement to go. So no, I met with a counselor and had the limited entry office check my application.
I was told the same thing. The limited entry workshop is not required like the Health Science Workshop is. So I did not attend one. But when I went to submit my app I had then look mine over as well.
I agree. I don't understand...I feel like why was I the unlucky one! But I guess I'm not the only one...I'm also going to go there, but agree they we will end up making us reapply and wait. It's not right. We worked hard and still we are getting cheated.
to be completely honest, I think someone messed up the applications and they don't want to admit it. So they're saying that something is wrong with transferred credits.
If you pull up your MyCSN account and get your CSN transcript you can see if they have been transferred or not. If there is somewhere else that they're supposed to be posted I would ask for them to show you.
