Crocs Brand Shoes

I did a search on Crocs to see if this has already been discussed and I merely received a message saying I'd need to wait 20 seconds to try again, so I assume not.

I just bought my first pair of Crocs shoes yesterday, will try them out tomorrow. Anyone have any experience with this brand of shoes? Are they as great as I hear?

I liked lots of the sales points about the shoes but I wonder if it is actually true or not. My sis swears by them but after looking at them they look like cheap plastic, yet the few folks I have talked to about them have absolutely nothing bad to say.

Any personal experiences with this brand of shoe?

My crocs are soooooo comfy...but, like somebody else posted, they do not really give much support, so if I wear them more than a couple days in a row my feet and lower back still hurt. Also, I have to be careful to pick up my feet more; the material is rubber and sometimes the toes catch on the floor, causing me to trip.

What I do now is alternate my crocs with my Dansko clogs; my feet and back feel much better after wearing the Danskos after a shift, although it took a good couple weeks to break them in and the tops of my feet still become red after wearing them.

Has anybody tried the comfort clogs from allheart? They are so much lower in price! I haven't tried either style yet, just wondering how they compare.

Allheart's reputation for customer service is pretty poor.

I don't like them! They are too "sticky" on our floor surfaces and I end up tripping all the time! I'll keep my Birkis, thanks:heartbeat

Do Crocs all have air holes? B/C lets face it we all end up with poop on the shoe sometimes. ewwwwwwwwwwww

Not all of them do, mine don't.

I just wore them for the first time today and I'm totally impressed. Today was only an 8 hour shift but I'm not even tired. Amazing difference.

I'm sold on them!

I absolutely love my Crocs, I work L & D and they are the most comfortable shoes I have had. We wear shoe covers over ours, so if you are worried about getting "poop" on yours, just put on some covers. My 4 year old has a pair and that is all she wears. She really loves them and they go right into the washer and clean up great.

i bought a pair and they are extremely comfortable. i have the ones with no holes. my only suggestion is to get the ones with holes on the sides so they dont get too hot...

I Love them! No painful feet when I get off from a 12 hour shift! I actually had them on today when I went to get an steroid epidural injection (for pain from a back injury in July) and the anesthesiologist said they were great shoes for people who suffer from back pain! Something about the squishy bottoms being great shock absorbers! Love them!

I have been wearing them for about 2 years now, i have 6 pairs because i don't just wear them for work. at work i wear the orange ones (b/c no one else has orange) with the holes. my feet don't sweat near as much as with birkis. crocs rule all!

I learned something today. Socks matter! Yesterday I wore heavy socks, no pain, no anything. Felt great. Today I wore nylon socks and not only did I squeek with each step, my feet are killing me. I don't know what the difference is but it is huge.

Note to self: Heavy socks work better heavy socks work better heavy socks work better... :)

Thanks for the heads up! I do think that I'll try them out on my feet before buying, so probably won't buy them online.

I am sooo glad I wasn't the only one...lol.... I was kind of short changed in the grace department anyway and these shoes made me feel like Chevy Chase or some other slapstick comedian. I'd be walking along, in what I thought was a respectable amount of decorum, and one of my feet would make a screeching halt, thrusting the top half of my body forward. My co-workers seem to find great humor in this....half the time I think they keep me around to entertain them....
