CRNE June 2009

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hi there! I'm writing the CRNE tomorrow and wanted to start this thread to get some chatter going to support each other. Anyone else writing tomorrow?

I'm nervous....somewhat! It's kind of a strange feeling actually. If I really let myself think about it, it frightens me to death, but then other times I'm completely calm. KWIM?? Anyone else going through these mix of emotions?

Anyway, I have to go get ready since I have to drive an hour and half out of town to write, and we're actually spending the night tonight.

Good luck to you all!

To tell you the truth, I don't think that there is any sure fire way to study for this thing. The prep guide is good in respect to getting your head prepped for a seven hour exam (ugh!) But the content is anybody's guess. I really don't think that it is fair that a number of questions are actually "test" questions that don't count. These little darlings only add unnecessary stress to an already stressful exam. Hopefully the ones that "floored" me were "test" questions that weren't worth anything....hopefully....."gulp"!

Goodluck and May God Bless You all who took the exam this June..

Anyway I'll take the exam this september..

Can you give me a hint or a reviewer that would help me...

Hi guys,

Anyone know what mark/percentage/grade you need to pass the CRNE? I'm writing mine next year and I'm using the prep guide now but no where can I find where it says something like "you need a x% to pass the CRNE"... Any ideas?

That's because there is no set percentage required to pass. Each exam set has a different threshold. Please read FAQ: The Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) for more information. Questions like yours are the exact reason I put together this sticky.

Wow, thanks so much! I'm suprised that there are different exams given to students at random, makes sense though I guess. Thanks again!

Hi

I wish the june writers exam will get the goodluck & good news with your results.

I have encorages to everyone who wrote the test.

Good luck everyone. I love to read these threads even though once in a while you get a veteran who takes all the fun out of the anxious wait. This is a time to band together as new grads and wait it out knowing that there are many other people going through the same experience. I still have a year before I write and I plan on sharing a lot.

WELL I,LL KEEP YOU IN MY THOUGHTS BEST OF LUCK I TOO AM AN IEU. AMERICAN. IM STILL WAITING FOR CANADA TO GET ALL MY SCHOOL DOCUMENTS. PLEASE EMAIL ME AND TELL ME HOW YA DID. I AM ROOTING FOR YOU:yeah::up:

Hi everyone... I feel exactly the same as u661b. I know its a long wait for the results, and its killing me! Im an IEN, and have moved here for good... so am really needing that job~~:nurse:

Thankyou.... I will keep you posted!! I hate this waiting game:o

Only about 2 more weeks until we can start expecting mail from the college of nurses!!! Is anyone in this thread a re-writer? If so, can you tell us what size your letter was indicating that you needed to re-write? I have heard from successful candidates received small (regular letter) sized envelopes, sort of like a phone bill!

Do anybody have any news when we should expect the result ? the waiting killed me .

Hi abcdefghijKIRA, I heard that successful candidates get only Pass remarks whereas unsuccessful candidates get full evaluation of their exam; may be dats d logic behind dis; Gud Luck.
