Yes, you really have to pass it to PRC. All documentation about your education and registration MUST come from the source ie your university and your regulatory body (PRC) to prevent fraud. You fill out the application, CNO sends you the package, you forward the required documentation requests to your school and all regulatory bodies with which you've been registered and to your employers if you have any. Then when all the documents are in CNO's hands they assess your suitability for registration in Ontario. After that they send you more paperwork and instructions on what to do next. All of this infromation is available on this site in various locations, including the International forum. Please take the time to read the other posts and then check back with the questions that haven't been answered.
A word of advice: Please make the effort to utilize proper English grammar, syntax and spelling. It will help you a lot in working your way through this process. It is also an essential part of working as a nurse in Canada. You must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
thank you janfrn. your information is a big help. we are just new here and i have really no idea on what to do. all i know is that i have to request the assessment package from CNO.. But is it ok if i will have the papers scanned and just have it printed in the philippines because i know sending my papers would cost much. assessment is already too much for me and adding up for mailing would be so much more expensive.
I can't see why scanning and emailing the forms would be an issue, but it would be best to consult CNO and get their permission. The various nursing regulatory bodies can be very strict and difficult to get along with if you don't do things exactly the way they want them.
You're quite correct that the process is expensive. It takes a totally committed individual to stick with it for however long it takes and however much it costs.

The verification forms should come directly from the institution et. al. PRC, School, Employers and IELTS (or any English testing center that CNO approves). The only form that the applicant should submit is the application form and fee.
