World Canada CRNE

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site. And I am gonna take CRNE FEB 2011 and very nervous. Can anyone guide me what books do I need to study for this exam. I would also appreciate if there is any sugestions for review centre in vacouver or surrey because i live in b.c.

Thanks in advance.

could anyone enlighten me on the basis of "CRNE are more on psychosocial questions. Basing from my experience in writing the CGFNS / NCLEX (US exams) it has the same content. In a manner that it also tackles Critical thinking skills, Application and knowledge/ comprehension that a graduate nurse is expected to perform safe, competent and ethical client care. So how is it different?

For an overview of the differences between the NCLEX and the CRNE check this site http://www.registered-nurse-canada.com/nclex.html

As for the psycho social questions, they are woven through the entire exam. Think about aspects of therapeutic relationship, client centred care, and open ended questioning. I would suggest looking at some of the CN0 documents. These proved helpful for many of us who wrote. Good luck.

You should go to the CNA website, and after some vigourous studying, do the CRNE prep exam. It shows you where you need to continue your studies. It also tells you what areas you need to improve on.

The CRNE is easier than you think it is!

You're welcome. I would suggest ethics, informed consent, medications, and documentation from the list.

If you are well prepared, and can manage your time during the exam (KEY**), it really is not too bad. It is actually very fair. Don't worry about it too much. You will be fine :)

Thanks for the encouragement.. Well basing from the practice questions in Mosby comprhensive and CNA. Prep guide I do finish 250 questions in 3hrs and a half.. And did fairly well the first time I answered them. I do hope its the same format on the exam proper... ANy suggestions on where I can get more practice questions with out purchasing new books? Anyone?

Get the CNA guides and do those questions too. Buy that if you have to. It is worth it, since they write your exam. Aside from all the questions in mosbys and CNA, that is all you need. If you start using too many question books, it will mess you up. Remember, you also require the actual knowledge, too. Doing questions isn't enough by itself. I also reviewed potter and perry, and a maternal text that was listed in the references in the CNA guide.

Hey. I am new here and i am writing for the first time feb 2011. Do you have to buy cna guide because i have finished the mosby's comprehensive review and lippincott cover to cover and i think the mosby is fantastic and the lippincott is good not that helpful. I found the lippincott to easy. Neways i registered with primed for the review courses taking place on january 8-9 2011 and they primarily recommend the cna guide too. Please tell me is the cna worth it because i dont want to waste my money on another guide that wouldnt be as helpful.
