OK guys, I have now deleted several posts as boosting post count as well as derailing this thread. As mentioned by janfrn you need 15 or more posts to be able to access the pm system and we ask that you post meaningful posts and they do not have to be in one thread or even the same forum, we will delete posts that we feel are just for boosting post count.

If you have a question that has nothing to do with the thread you are posting PLEASE start a new thread making sure it is relevant to the forum you are in, for example if it is in regards to how nurses work in Canada then post in the Canadian forum if it is in regards to immigration then post in the International forum.

Sorry for the off-topic posts ! This will be my last reply in this post

Hi Everyone,

I would like to share the prep materials and exam tips that I collected from my classmates.

I passed the exam and would like to help people who still need to write this exam.

The author or source of these prep documents is unknown, so please use them wisely as supplements, and not as the only tool you prepare for the exam. Please refer to the CNA prep guide as the most reliable resource.Use the prep materials with caution and at your own risk.

Ex: for the exam checklist in my prep materials, the real exam may ask you diseases that are not listed on the checklist. The checklist just provides some common health challenges.

Nonetheless, I found the prep materials quite useful and provide a good review, and exam tips and strategies.

:heartbeatIf you would like to receive the prep materials and exam tips I used, Please do the following:

Option 1) Click on the envelope button under my username ( right across the letter "registered user) in my post to email me

Option 2) PM me and tell me your email address

Option 3) If you are a new user and still can't PM/ email yet. Please wait until you have posted 15 constructive posts. Or wait until I can PM/email as well (i guess I have 7 more to go) And Please don't post randomly to try to boost up your post count. Thank you! Good Luck to you all and all the best !!! Let's conquer the CRNE exam!:redbeathe

PS:

I also used the following books to help prepare for my exam:

1) CNA Prep Guide

- highly recommend it as it gives you an idea how the exam questions would be like

2) Mosby's Comprehensive Review for the Canadian RN exam

- It provides a detailed review for different areas (pediatric, maternity, community, and surgical)and some practice questions

3) Mosby's prep Guide for the Canadian RN exam

-It offers 3 practice exams and answers. It's a pretty good one if you just want to practice more

4) Lippincott

- the questions are not quite relevant to the CRNE exam. But if you feel you need to get as many practice questions as you can, go for it

Hi! Watermelon,

Thanks a lot for sharing the infomation. I am new here and really want to find a way to receive your RN exam preparation tips and practice questions.

hi watermeloncandy! can you send me a copy of your review materials..im international grad nurse and my 'rd time to take this [email protected]

Hello~ watermeloncandy!! Could you send me a copy of your precious materials. I actually failed the Feb exam and am kind of depressed. I should take another exam in June.... but I'm not confident how to prepare it. Please help me by sending your study materials and tips to support me.

My e-mail is [email protected]

Thank you very very much.

You may also want to try online tests on CNA website when you get closer to your exam.

Couple of little notes on watermelonecand's post regarding sources. I think and that's only my opinion that the Lippincot is valuable source for the exam specially when it comes to nurses-client partnership and professional responsibilities. The book provides at least 200 multiple choices on each sections which is more than other sources in total.

When you read the Mosby's comprehensive please do not hooked on little details. You'll get WAY more information in the book that you need. To pass your CRNE you need to know your biology and patho but they'll never ask you a question on that. It's more about how you think in different settings such as acute care, community care, etc.

Hi Rubysdr,

Please check your email address as I couldn't send you an email with the address you listed

once again this thread has gone off the rails. the topic of this thread is crne feb 2011. that exam is now well over and the only posts that should be coming to the thread are those reporting results. this thread will be closed tomorrow at 1800 hours mdt. there are many other threads here that discuss materials and strategies for passing the exam - please post your questions, comments and requests there. any further requests for watermeloncandy's materials will be removed.

i found all of these threads except for the first one, which is a sticky, by performing a "search this section", the link for which is found at the top centre of any forum's home page... in this case just under the gold divider bar which is just below the pink banner that says "posts pertaining to working in canada and/or immigration or licensure questions specific for canada, please post it under the international forum."
