  1. ALWAYS remember! There's a lot of Nursing Jobs out there... its TIME!
  2. I am an IEN. After 6 months of staying in Canada, I got my eligibility to take the National Exam for RN. PASSED there after! Got a job after a month of waiting in a Telemetry floor in Downtown Hospital, Toronto. I don't have any experience, I am a new grad but I have the positive outlook and smile in my heart that I have the capability.
  3. Hi Nono1 Sorry to confused but I did not complete the CAS. The CNO only gave me the BET to complete and after completing I was able to meet the current Degree of nursing in Ontario. In my BET I was able to make sure that I did answer the topic very well together with my rationales that is conjunction with my experienced. All the best... :tinkbll:

:tinkbll: AGREE!! It just that some people in this site criticize other as if they are the FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE of this world. To tell them, English is not only one way for you to be competent and be a great nurse. Most of the people who are not fluent in English are the one who excel and competent in nursing. I am proud to be an Internationally Educated Nurse from the PHILIPPINES...
  5. Both exam are kinda same but the MLE focus more on OB Pedia but the nursing process are the same. I self-reviewed since I am a new graduate at that time and information are fresh. The waiting period for MLE is most likely 3-5 days unlike the NLE which taking months before the released. You may wish to check other recent MLE exam results for you to know more about it, also check PRC website on what is the process of applying for examination. I took the NLE June 2009 and MLE November 2009.
  6. June 85.40%
  7. Hello I am an RN and RM in the Philippines. I graduated March 2009, passed the NLE June 2009 and passed MLE Novemeber 2009. That time, I just completed actual, assist and cord clamp and IV insertion to be eligible for the exam. I don't know if PRC already change their requirements for the eligibility. Goodluck :)
  8. Hello Shannonwhite I already passed the CRNE and working as an RN already. I did read and understood the whole Compendium of standards especially Medications, Documentations, Difference between an RN/RPN and some legals issues of nursing in ontario. I also had the 5th CNA prep guide, Mosby comprehensive review and Lippincots. I also did have use the Readiness Test that you need to purchase online via CNA website. I reviewed 1hr a day and make sure I always have the time to sleep. I stop going out since I love partying to clubs and bars. Just focus and focus or if you have any budget, I suggest going to 2 review schools such as HCPT, TSON or Topnotch Review, I red a lot of good feedback of these review schools. Always be positive. Stay away from people who are negative and always pulling you down. At this time, you have your own and should work on your own. No one else can help you but yourself. Always aim high and always think about your goal. When I was reviewing for the exam, I am not thinking of passing the exam, but I am thinking in being competent and knowledgeable when the time that I will be practicing as an RN on my own. But i believe we all have different kinds of motivation skills, so stay on what you feel you are comfortable with. And lastly, PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! Goodluck Nurse shannonwhite... :tinkbll:
  9. :tinkbll: I feel sorry about what happened to you. But still its good thing to stand up after u fell down. I truly believe that in every greatest rejection there is greatest directions. I advice going to Topnotch Review Centre in Scarborough. The instructor is soooo good in teaching, updated in the current trends in nursing and she can able to help you understand fully the whole nursing. PM me and i'll send the contact details.
  10. sending everyone my Tinkerbell :tinkbll: for luck.. Fly and soar high everyone...
  11. :tinkbll: I am a Philippine RN and also a Philippine Midwife. Got my eligibility after 9 months of assessment, I am actually one of the applicant who was given a Baccalaureate Equivalency Table, but they changed it into CAS which most applicant been receiving now. Now, I hold a current General Class RN registration in the CNO. Just an advice, pls do work really hard on your CAS because that appealing process will going to help you to meet the current degree in Nursing in ontario. Goodluck folks. :)

:tinkbll: I'm sorry to hear about your assessment result. I am an IEN, had my BScN degree in the Philippines and currently holding an RN license in Ontario. Did they gave you a Baccalaureate Equivalency Table to answer? Because I had my initial assessment Nov 2010 and got my eligibility to take the CRNE after 2 months of passing my BET. To sum it all, BET is the one that helps me to get my equivalency to a current degree in nursing in ontario (English is not my first language, I AM NOT GOOD IN SPEAKING IN ENGLISH). As to the comment regarding your ENGLISH PROFICIENCY, ENGLISH PROFICIENCY is not a basis for you not to have your eligibility since this ONE requirement is just ONE of the SEVEN (Plus one juris exam in Jan2013) to get registered in the CNO. Aim high my friend. Do the bridging program if you can to have your eligibility and become an RN. After all it will benefit you a lot, Hospitals in toronto and nearby areas looking for RNs who are educated here or somewhat had some completed courses in colleges or universities.
  14. :tinkbll: GO! GO! dave!!! you can do it.. you still have three weeks to review... I have a friend who had the same situation, she reviewed for ONLY 2 weeks and PASSED!!! We have different kind of techniques and strategies, one may work with another and one may not.. So this one might work with you dave, all the best!! just read! and read! and read! and of course keep in your hand your critical thinking... its an easy exam dude... :) God bless you... Keep us updated...
  15. :tinkbll: Goodluck to all of you!!! Always remember to keep in mind the competencies for RN. It will really really help you to answer the questions correctly since most of them are psychosocial types of questions. And also, TIME! TIME! TIME! 4hours is not enough for 200 questions, so you need to read it fast as you can but with analysis and critical thinking. I still remember when I wrote the Feb 2012 exam, I only have 5mins left before the time-off and I wasn't able to review it again all through-out. God is good i passed... Just Pray! Dream! and Believe and you will PASS and survive!! Good luck future colleagues.
