Hi everybodyI'm new in this community...I'm very glad to be here, and get some advice ,I wrote my crne on Oct 8.., I just wanted to know if I fail, is there any chance to get work F.ex some Temporary work ..??
I don't have any workpermit yet.
what should I do to get work permit?
thanks my friends:redbeathe
by the way do you think when do we get the result???
If you have just taken CRNE then expect employers to want to wait for results. Suggest you check out the International forum and the threads on working on Canada as that is where we ask question on international nurses looking for employers, work permits etc post. Keep this thread on topic with CRNE exam
this was my 2nd time ,i did the june exam and its was much easier than oct ,i think they don't need international nurses to practice in canada ,beleieve thats the piont .....
The exam is no different for International nurses as it is for nurses who trained in Canada just that Canadians are geared up for this exam when in school. If they don't need international nurses then why are employers employing them? In many areas there are shortages

Warm greetings! I would like to join the band of nurses with post CRNE traumatic stress syndrome. My nursing experience in the US, CRNE prepaparation for 2 months and Medical- Surgical nursing stock knowledge from NCLEX review did a little work when I wrote the CRNE on Oct. 8:bugeyes:. For all of us who gave the best for the exam, for all of us who ask, seek and knock, may the door of heaven be opened to us and receive the answers to all our prayers from our amazing GOD who delivers the goods that we fervently asked in prayers. God bless us all.

Not the case at all, besides the exams are weighted, so the pass mark will vary according to how the paper was for those taking it. Some papers will end up with a higher pass mark than others - hence the variations quoted on the CNA website.
If it was easier in June then how come you're taking it again? That just proves my point & in case you think I don't know what your'e going through, I'm an International nurse with no fingernails left too!!

I just wanted to share that the june exam was not easier, CNa have many exam books and every time you write it you get a different book. I wrote the exam in june and october and some of the question were the same but i foudn both time it was difficult. If the exam was easier in June then they woudl have alot more ppl trying to sign up for june exam instead of writing it in october. As for international we need them and they are always welcome to canada to practice and that is why they too have to write the exam for entry to practice like the rest of us here in canada

i think that i was not prepared for the june as i did for october ,and if my preparation for june exam was as i did for oct ,i think i could make it because my marks were almost near the passing ones
Hi all, i wrote my crne in oct/08 too, and have no clue as to whether i'll pass or fail. But it was a toughone. Many of my friends too who wrote with me said the same. It's simply overwhelming for especially internationalnurses to go through this. The exam does not ultimately test your knowledge level or competence, its simply tricky.just getting you confused and expecting the right answer. Why is it there are no direct questions,i dont think it is the right thing to have lot of distractors because most often you know the right answer but it confuses you.I can say may be just 5-10 direct ones were there. The officials who prepare the questions need to make some changes...or we have very few passing the exam thus very few nurses..contributing to shortage..I seriously think lets have onehalf as practicalexams, coz ultimately thats what counts whether the nurse can competently do her job.How can passing an exam alone evaluate one's competency..i think its rediculous .this is same with Nclex also i guess.Your loosing out on goodskilled, competent nurses who have good knowledgebase too but only got confused with the pattern of questioning....GOD save us nurses

Hi,I took the exam for the first time in october, but I think I failed because it was not what I thought it will be.I used Saunders and Mosby, which I do not anymore think that is enough. What books did you use for preparing the exam from october?
well this was my 2nd time taking it...the first time i used the mosby, crne prep guide...and i didnt think i had enough time to study and i ended up failing by 1 point...this time i used the crne prep guide...i took at 2 weeks course..which came with a book..so i felt very prepared....1st book wasnt so bad..but the 2nd one killed me. after going over some questions in my head and with friends..i realized i got many questions wrong..this is freaking me out A LOT! i seriously cant afford to fail again...i feel like my whole life is on hold..and i cant take the next step until i find out the results...the june results came after about 6.5 weeks...so i'm thinking it'll be around that same length this time around...this waiting game is killing me!!! i was fine for the last week or so...but now that its been 3 weeks since the exam..and i know the results will be here within another 3 weeks...its just driving me nuts...i constantly think abt this stupid exam...when will it all enddddddd........errrrrrrggggggggggg :angryfire
