Updated:   Published

Applying to Barry University Nurse Anesthesia Program for May 2020 cohort!! My GPA 3.89, ACLS/BLS/CCRN certified, 4 years of medical ICU experience.

Studying to take the GRE in May!

I am so nervous to apply. I am not good at standardized test.

What are other ppl stats? Do you think I'll get an interview.

Finished my CCRN. Still have not heard anything

Maybe trying shooting an email to Fabianna to check on your application. I’ve learned follow-up is good

Do you have email?

@S3682 PMed you. Sometimes they block emails on here but I sent you the info for the director of health science admissions who was very kind when I had questions regarding my application being received/materials sent in after!

Good luck and best wishes to everyone who is interviewing! My journey with Barry has officially ended today. I accepted an offer at my first choice school, so I no longer will be interviewing. I wish everyone only success in their endeavors!

hello @theICUnurse i saw that you send you were denied an admission because of your GRE score but then recieved an interview, was there anything that changed? or were you able to retake the GRE and resubmit?

Just an update. I had my interview on Friday and I was asked clinical scenarios. I know everyone else has been saying no clinical questions, but in my interview they did. So I would recommend reviewing both styles of questions.

I was not asked much in terms of clinical questions, but did get asked one regarding medication. So, agreed, definitely review clinical information! A friend who interviewed last year and is in the WPB cohort now told me that the less clinical experience you had, the more likely they were asked clinical questions? Not sure if that's true for this year or if they just randomly chose interviewees to torture ?

Originally, my application was reviewed without my GRE scores resulting in my denial. However, I asked questions and was able to get a re-review with my scores.

@theICUnurse may i ask what you got on youre GRE scores? I submitted my application but my scores were not where I wanted them to be so i am retaking it but im afraid it would be denied interview because of it.

They would like your scores in the 30th percentile. I received that info when I got a rejection email. Some students on here have been accepted with lower with revision to retake the GRE for their target. However, with spots narrowing down...I don’t know if they will still have the same mercy. I wouldn’t count yourself out though. You never know. I got a 302 (153/149/4)
