Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Applying to Barry University Nurse Anesthesia Program for May 2020 cohort!! My GPA 3.89, ACLS/BLS/CCRN certified, 4 years of medical ICU experience.

Studying to take the GRE in May!

I am so nervous to apply. I am not good at standardized test.

What are other ppl stats? Do you think I'll get an interview.

@candycrush890 It’s a group titled ‘Barry university CRNA class of 2023’. PM me if you still can’t find it and we can exchange names!

I’m interviewing for the Orlando site on the 25th at 4:00. Hope to see some of you there!

The 25th of October?? Just wondering if they’ve started scheduling November interviews.

Quick question for you guys? Does anyone of you knows how Barry calculate their GPA? Do they include all classes previously taken or just Nursing GPA? All input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey @Marc CCRN

I believe they look at your overall GPA for Bachelor's degree and your science GPA. They look at all the classes. Hope this helps !

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

How have the interviews gone?

Does each campus choice have an acceptance limit? I'm thinking about applying here but don't necessarily have a campus/site preference.

@ReginaphalangeRN

Interviews for some campuses are complete and others are a few weeks in. I believe someone mentioned they applied to Tampa but admissions said it was closed already, but I’m not 100%. Each campus has a pre-determined number of seats and it varies between them. For example I think last year Tampa has like 8 and Hollywood had around 18. However, you don’t get assigned a campus until after you interview...you apply, are invited and at that time you can ask what campuses are open. At your interview you hand in some paperwork and one sheet includes your top two campus choices. Upon acceptance you are assigned one!

For those of you who interviewed and heard back, was it exactly 7 days later or a little less time?? Also, for those who interviewed the 25th... how did it go?? I got clinical questions.... I think because I’ve only been a nurse for 2 years.

I interviewed on Friday and got an email the next Friday, late in the afternoon. Also, I’ve been a nurse for 11 years and I got clinical questions....don’t know why they are asking clinical questions to some and not others. Maybe because it’s later in the application process so they are being more critical of the applicants...?

I also heard back the following Friday about 4-5 pm via email. I was only asked one question regarding a medication but the rest were personality based questions. Been a nurse 2 years.

Just received my acceptance letter via email today! I’ll be at Orlando campus
