  1. Call the school with the class you have and they will tell you if it’s acceptable or not. If not, an online Graduate Statistics would be worth it.
  2. It has to be something you're going to WANT to do because you love things about Anesthesia. Do you like knowing all little intricacies about different meds?? Is Pharmacology something you nerd out on? Do you enjoy hands on managing patient's? Most professions will tell you CRNA is an excellent career field. Great money, flexibility, many different avenues to practice Anesthesia, and alot of the time great hours..... That being said, it's a long road to make it there. If you have trouble getting into a school, are you willing to grind out being an ICU nurse for 3 years instead of just 1?? Because trust me, it happens to many people. Many think you need this much experience with a sick population anyways because you are going to be responsible for a patient's life.... If you don't have a strong desire to do Anesthesia, it may not be worth it for you. Many end up changing avenues because money alone isn't gonna be a good enough reason.
  3. I was accepted on Tuesday and had until today to send my acceptance in, so 4 days. Deposit has to be received by next Friday. They send an email w/ all the details.
  4. So excited for everyone!! We've worked hard to get to this point and with the help of God, we did it!! Now the real work starts! LOL. Can't wait to meet everyone! Fingers crossed for those who haven't checked their email yet!!
  5. Yes ma’am!!! Hopefully find out who my new classmates are today!!! Good luck everyone and check those emails!!!
  6. I got the early bird special 7:30 AM! I'm not sure Kelly.
  7. What date and time did yours say? Wondering if there was a standard time in the email or if each person was given a separate time.
  8. I got an interview as well. They accept roughly 50 students looking at previous years.
  9. They sent out Interview invites this afternoon for the middle of July. Check your junk folder if you didn't see one!!
  10. No word yet, looking at previous years... We should hear something next month.
  11. Nothing yet, only that they’ve received my application. It’s been a bit since I looked, but I think everyone was contacted in June last year.
  12. Writing my essay today and will submit later this afternoon. Good luck to everybody.
  13. I reckon with everybody having a "low census", it's a good time to be in Critical Care. I pulled 115hrs last pay period and will likely do the same this pay period. They are begging us to work and paying us well to do so. We are on Critical Care divert as all of our units are full w/ COVID patients and we get called to the floors multiple times a day to look at patients that usually end up needing Critical Care services... Unless ED patients are absolutely dying, we are transferring them out. We have finally got some other hospitals to accept our patients. Most insane thing I've ever seen in my life. Luckily, we got multiple truckloads of supplies recently. We are doing our best to conserve our supplies and are re-using PPE, but we do have it readily available.
