Updated:   Published

Applying to Barry University Nurse Anesthesia Program for May 2020 cohort!! My GPA 3.89, ACLS/BLS/CCRN certified, 4 years of medical ICU experience.

Studying to take the GRE in May!

I am so nervous to apply. I am not good at standardized test.

What are other ppl stats? Do you think I'll get an interview.

FINALLY got my Nursing Cas verified today! Now pray for me as I take CCRN tomorrow!

Good luck! The questions were very straight forward.

@QuinnRNBSN

Congratulation !!! Good luck on the interview !!! You will do awesome. Being nervous is okay. Just be your self. My interview lasted 40 minutes. No clinical questions asked. All personal questions. They make you feel very comfortable. My GRE score was low, so that was bought up. Some of the questions were, name one mistake I made (non-medical) in life. My campus is orlando, so they questioned me how I feel about driving 1hr everyday. How I feel about writing papers and school being online for the first 2 semesters. Look back, it was very easy.

Hope this helps. When is your interview?

@estiles

Hey, I was wondering if you re-took your GRE? I bought more books to study from and renewed Magoosh, but I am so nervous on re-taking it. We have 5 more months, thats it....

Yeah, I am honestly trying to find the best quant review course right now, I got in too, they want me to improve my quant score which was a 146 to a to 148 which would be the 30% tile

I did magoosh but only got half way through, idk why i dont really like how its organized.

@Justlikehaldolpropofolversed

Congratulations !!! I got 144 on quant, and I need to get 148 (which would be on the 30% tile), I have ETS book, Kaplan 10th version, and Magoosh. Did you re-take it yet?

Practicing specific question type on magoosh is helpful. study/review the section and doing questions based on that helps.

Hi Everyone!

I am currently in the process of applying to Barry for the May 2020 cohort but I feel like I’m so behind!

Im taking my GRE next week and CCRN in September. I was planning on submitting my application in September but I’ve been reading that some people submitted the application pending some requirements? Just wanted to double check ?

I have worked in PICU since March 2018 prior to that I was in the ER.

My BSN GPA was a 3.9 and undergrad GPA was a 3.86. However, I am just dreading this GRE ?

I’m also taking a chemistry lab in August and the online chemistry lecture they offer that starts in August as well!

Trying not to freak out but of course freaking out! Any tips?

Thank you in advance and good luck to everyone on their interviews!!

Hey where are you taking a chemistry lab if you dont mind me asking?

thanks!

I have an interview for the 25th! Super excited and nervous, but looking forward to the opportunity! I’m coming from out of state so I chose the later date instead.

@candycrush890 and @estiles

Thanks for the encouragement. My interview isn't until 430. I'm assuming I'm one of the last applicants of the day. I'm still doing some practice questions just in case they do ask medical questions, since I don't have my CCRN yet. Did they ask you financial questions? I'm still very nervous about the entire process.

I have to retake mine and my quant was literally 147....I need literally one point hahaha! So annoying. I hate the stupid test ?I would take the CCRN 80 times over the GRE... but I’ll do what I gotta do ?? I bought the Kaplan book and i like it WAY BETTER. I did Magoosh and didn’t like it either!

@QuinnRNBSN I’m interviewing 10/11 as well at 3:30 pm (but for a Hollywood/Miami location spot). Good luck, maybe I’ll see you on the way out ?

Finished my CCRN. Still have not heard anything
