I am about to finish nursing school in North Carolina. I have a criminal background and am required to submit a letter explaining my charges. Do any of you have experience with this?

Just curious, did you look into any of this before starting nursing school? Or did the issues occur during school?

I looked into it. I had to explain my charges once before to my clinical sites as we have to do a background check when applying to nursing school.

In my state the is a requirement for any one who answers yes to the question of conviction or something has come up on the applicant's background check. I've personally read hundreds of these letters. Please be professional and brief. If more information is desired by the board, the applicant will receive a letter asking for more details.
