Hi there.
I know that this has been mentioned before but to find a current thread I have had a hard time with trying to find a specific answer to my question. So here I go
I realize that credit check (be it good or bad) is part of todays application process..So my question?
Besides looking for your finacial history, can a work history be found with a credit check?? What else can they tell by you..
No I have not done anything bad or illegal. I do have a not so clean credit history..I did however not disclose every single nursing job that I have had over the last couple of years. It has been a bad two years for me. I have not had the best job history in the last couple of years due to things beyond my control..But now I am ready and able to work.
I applied last week for a home health job and was supposed to have heard back by the middle of this week and have not heard anything and yes I did give them permission for a credit check. They told me they were not go to really use it cause of my position???? I am sure they did and now I am concerned...
Any input here would be great..Thanks

They want to know how you are with responsibility and credit checks show if you pay your bills

I have pulled up credit reports on myself periodically. My employers, past or present, have never been listed.

If someone accesses your credit history, the inquiry shows up on your credit report. If you want to find out if they checked your credit, pull a copy of your own credit report.

Your past employer will show up on your credit report if you applied for any kind of credit and listed that employer as your employer at the time. Otherwise, it won't show up.
