CPNE study resources besides a workshop--opinions wanted

Nursing Students Online Learning

Hey all,

What other CPNE resources are being found helpful for study? I am particularly asking about the Excelsior study tools like the Power Start conference (or whatever they call it now) and the other online resources. Has anyone used these things, and what do you think of them? I'm asking because, while they are not particularly expensive in and of themselves, they do add up if one would take all of them.

How about the Excelsior CPNE DVD and flash cards? What is your opinion on those?

Thank you kindly! :nurse:

Anyone know if it is possible to purchase just the 50cc mini bags for practice?

I think I have everything else.

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I am using the study guide and a private workshop put on by a former examiner for EC. I also went on E-bay and bought the Skills study guide, a fake wound and supplies. I am a nervous wreck, I test at the end of this month. Just when you think you are getting close to being ready I find something new to freak out about. Also lots of helpful stuff on EC website. They have a discussion board where you can post questions and get careplans and PCS's reviewed. It is check by falculty members and there share their input. Hope this helps!!:twocents::twocents:

Does this workshop have a website, or contact info?

I just got back from Excelsior's workshop. I can't imagine winging it. But good luck to those with the confidence to do it.

Hi there -

I just finished taking all the online conferences offered by excelsior because I was unable to fit in a workshop....... I learned important things in all the conferences. The prep conference was something I could have done without but I can't tell you how much more prepared I feel having taken the documentation/care planning & skills conference....

Good Luck!
