  1. Thank you Lisa! You have helped so many of us. I wish you much success and happiness. Deb
  2. Hello all, Just wanted to add my name to list of folks who have passed the CPNE. I passed in Mansfield this past weekend. I am still decompressing and reminding myself that I had a family and a life before all of this. :chuckle I really can't add anything to the information other's have put in their journal's. My experience was almost identical to Lunah's and her journal and posts are wonderful. I had to repeat one adult PCS only. Stupid avoidable error on my part. Documenting an intake of all things. I would be happy to answer any questions or help anyone in whatever way I can. I wish everyone success that is preparing for this very tough but doable exam. It truly is an exam where perfect practice meets great stress management skills. P.S. Low dose Xanax and Ambien CR were my friends too. Deb, GN
  3. I plan to continue on for my BSN with Excelsior as well. Just passsed the CPNE in Mansfield this past weekend. Good luck to you!
  4. Anyone know if it is possible to purchase just the 50cc mini bags for practice? I think I have everything else. Thanks!
  5. But I am allergic to chinese so that wouldn't work for me. Deb
  6. My intent was not to find one specific answer but to elicit recommendations from those that had passed as to what worked for them. I am aware that there are many methodologies however I imagine as with everything some would work better than others in a particular situation. Thank you for responding. Debbie
  7. Thank you both for taking time to post a response. Guidance from someone who has been there is invaluable! Deb
  8. Hello all. When I read through the posts here there is a wealth of information and questions I hadn't even thought of. One recurring theme however seems to be the overwhelming stress factor with the CPNE. I would like to work on stress management techniques as I am preparing for the CPNE. Any advice on what worked for those of you who have been there would be appreciated. What technique(s) did you use? Deb
  9. Hello all. Just received my CPNE binder within the last week. Right away I noticed that I am struggling with the shear volume of material to organize and study. Anyone willing to share details around how your study process? Any extra materials you felt were essential? Thanks in Advance! Debbie in Louisville Ky
  10. Hello all, Question.... I understand how concept mapping is used to develop Care Plans but can it also be used to study nursing theory? If so how? Do you put the chapter header in the center and then the key points radiating from there? I am very much a visual learner and I think concept mapping would be great for me to use. Thank you in advance for your help. Debbie ADN student in cold Louisville, Ky
