I am no where near it yet, but in my opinion, if you have to travel anyway, opt to take any location with a cancellation date, and just make sure that you are studying, and practicing while waiting, and that you have things in place to drop everything in your life at a moments notice, and get on a plane.
Another thing to note, and a question also, didn't I hear that EC was going to start some weekday CPNEs? If that is an option, I would elect for that, b/c most people probably want to travel outside of the work week.
I believe I read a post on one of the yahoo forums that someone was calling each of the sites on a weekly basis to find out if there were any cancelled appointments available and that is how they shortened their waiting time. As I recall, they found out from the individual site before EC was even made aware of the cancellation.

EC has them listed in their nursing school catalog. You need to go to the website for the latest version of the catalog. It is, I believe, in one of the sections toward the beginning, where they are explaining the program requirements in general. I read recently where someone was saying that one of the sites was closing. I would try a call to EC to get the contact phone numbers before going the 411 route for each hospital site.

Hi
I am getting the ball rolling to send in my CPNE app. Can anyone give any input on testing sites with the SHORTEST wait? The EC site to contact sites to get an idea.
Thanks
