Per tge EC website, it states that the cpne application takes 2 months to process and when done your test ate will be 5-8 months away.... For an estimate of 7-10months?? Is this right??
I know it's either syracuse or saratoga springs that has a close airport. The Utica site is sort of far from an airport if I recall correctly that is. Mommy brain is killing me tonight, the mommy look at me i'm playing with something i shouldn't be come get me game is killing my studying... ~sigh

I actually grew up in CT and have alot of family and friends in NY, so I hope someone can help me out if I end up having to drive somewhere from an airport. Syracuse has an airport too, I forgot about that. Utica is near Rome, NY and I'm pretty sure there is a small airport there but who knows if I can fly there from Orlando. I will cross the bridge when I come to it... I am going to put all that apply on there and see what I get.. who knows, I might end up in Pennsylvania
Still kind of hoping I can get a date in the south. Before I apply I am going to beg EC to tell me what my real odds are of getting a date in August, even if I have to go to Atlanta. Haven't 100% made up my mind yet. I am just so tapped out right now, I will think about it when I come back from my mini-vacation... my brain is kinda smoking from thinking too much.
My son is pretty obsessed with watching Happy Feet right now. He loves penguins. That usually gets me about 30 mins of study time :-)

Fi used to love happy feet. Then she found brighter tv shows and now only likes the music parts. She has like 8 penguin toys cause mommy loves penguins. I remember when she was a new born she would sit there and listen to it while laying on mommy and be happy as can be. I was sick a lot so it was kind of on repeat for the background noise. I think I'm going to try happy feet again tomorrow... I am tired of wonder pets.
I was told today by an advisor that ALL regions have a 3-5 month wait time in case anyone else was wondering.
Just a heads up...I think the advisors always give the worst case scenario, but the reality is not that long. I think most people are getting the test dates they want and really aren't waiting that long. I picked a date in March and I got a date in March. I think if I was on the cancellation list I would have got one even earlier, but that wasn't the way I wanted to do it.
It seems like we are beginning a busy CPNE time too--just by looking at the many students from our board that finished their nursing theory exams at the same time. Many people may have wanted to get their exams done and do their CPNE over the summer. I don't remember seeing such a large amount posting that they had finished as we just did. The EPN lifespan boards were very busy during that time too, and now no one is posting at all anymore. I wonder if we will see this reflected in our dates for CPNE.
Loops, if you are using Google Chrome to view your academic evaluation, you will get a popup saying you need a password. I don't know why but this kept happening to me and finally out of curiosity, I opened it up in Explorer with no problems.
I ended up having to call tech support and they said the same thing. Thanks Nursemama!
i paid may 18, applied to mpac, was a total idiot and said i'd be ready by july 1st (not thinking that i had to budget out the fee so i won't be paid in full until october), and got an email the next morning saying my test date was july 22 in racine!! i about fell out of my chair! i had to fax a declination sheet and change my ready date to nov 1 that way i'll be paid in full. duh..i can't believe how fast they responded! the site said 2 months to get a date that'd be like 8 months out! not hardly..

For me since I am coming from so far away (South FL for me, so probably equally as far to NPAC for you) I am thinking of where would be the easiest to get to an airport and public transportation. I am not sure if there is an airport near the other NY sites but I know Albany and Queens are close to one. I really have alot of thinking to do about all this. I think the added stress of having to travel 1,000 miles and being away from my son are making me feel kinda ill right now.
