CPNE help

Is there anyone in the Binghamton, NY or Norwich, NY area that has done the CPNE or is going to do the CPNE soon. I am looking for a little help with getting ready. Thanks! :)

Don't have date as of yet. Told EC that I can test anytime after 1-1-2009 with 2 weeks notice. 1-1-2009 is when all of my EC online conferences end.

I think once you do your online conferences, you will do fine. PM me and I can send you some documents and we can exchange numbers and maybe we can study together. I don't live near you but I could use someone to bounce things off of. I test Dec 5-7 and I am working on Care planning. Also you need to get very familar with the EC EPN CPNE board. It is a great source of support and resources. Those people are great and there are alot more topics there.

I feel overwhelmed with the online conferences. I have done begining CPNE and now doing documentation. With the documentation conference, I am lost. It's only 7 days, and I have read the study guide and still am confused as to what EC wants.

I will PM you, I need help. I love the EPN CPNE boards!!

I wish all those taking the CPNE soon luck. I was talking to a fellow LPN and she told me that her friend turned onthe faucet wrong at the GA site and failed. I wanted to know what did she mean by this but couldn't elaborate. What's that all about?

Maybe while handwashing? When you wash your hands, you have to use a paper towel to turn off the faucet -- touching the faucet with bare hands after washing hands just makes your hands dirty again, and violates asepsis for the purposed of the CPNE.

Remember, you can't fail the whole CPNE for just one thing; you have a chance to repeat everything at least once. There is a bit of a safety net/buffer. :)

I am taking it in the middle of Nov. Me and a friend are getting togethe tomorrow to critique the labs and quiz each on the mneumonics. I have also been working on careplans. trying to kinda pull it all together slowly. We have so little time. I am going on a 5 year anniversary cruise Nov 1-6 so Im trying to study up to that point.
