What would you do if you had a colleague that opened patients’ room windows during inclement weather? For example , the other day it was quite cold, cloudy and rainy and someone had opened up all the windows on one unit. A similar happening occurred during Winter when it was very snowy out. In both instances, some of the rooms got very cold, almost to the point of being freezing. What would you do about a colleague who does things such as this? In our case, we don’t know who is responsible (yet) but wondering about the best approach should their identity become known

You are too kind. I made the list for a few days there and it made me smile wryly. Somebody out there is probably green c envy. It won’t last. I Like you too.
Could you block off the part of the drive that goes around the back of the house, maybe c a few traffic cones or something?

HB, and what about the vampire dog?
You can always get a laser thermometer that checks room temperature for 20.00 on line. We had a patient whose room temperature never got above 64 degrees. We shut the room down and moved her to another room. 70 degrees was the temperature we sought for. It was topic that was added on one of our required staff meetings, and nobody objected.

Well, so much for swearing.

How did I live to be 64 years old on property that I've owned and worked for 35 years without someone like you, HB, to give me worthless ideas?
I have a fence across the front of my property and I use to hang a chain across the driveway to keep people out, hence the "Leave Deliveries Here" signs. The delivery trucks had to back down the long, long field road as there is no place to turn around. Empathetic for the delivery drivers, I then allowed them to use the circular drive until they stopped ignoring my signs like the salesmen on Secondhand Lions.
Come on, I couldn’t tell by your description how a truck would gain access to the back of your house, how long you’ve lived there, or how old you are. Just trying to be helpful. Besides, I’m older’n you.
This is about 1/3 of our driveway up the hill... well, come Summer anyway... but we have lots of turnaround space at the top.
Beautiful, HB. Paved, eh?
My driveway is graveled with grass in the center. It took me the Summer of 1987 loading a half ton of rock per load in my 1968 Ford pickup to rock it the first time. I also put in a culvert and filled in a spillway, using only a shovel and a wheelbarrow, that Summer.
Don't concern yourself with the access to the back of my house, as it's not interesting.
We need to get back on topic.
Excuse me. I have to go close the window.

Can you make a fake house next door so they can leave deliveries there and get rid of the vampire dog sign before you start attracting clergymen who make deliveries ????
