Cook Childrens 2014 Residency

Hello,

I have started the application process for the Jan 2014 cohort at Cook Childrens. Does anyone who has interviewed or been accepted for prior cohorts have any advice for the essay that is required or interview? I have completed the whole application but get stuck when writing the essay!! So much to say in it but I can't seem to get started.

I am applying for the residency as well! I have been told just to be honest and genuine in the essay and don't forget to use APA format. That's about it though... Good luck, I hope to see you there in January :D.

I also applied for the Jan 2014 internship! It might be a little early, but has anyone gotten notice for an interview yet?

My friend received a call on Tuesday. I was called this morning. I have an interview next Friday. They said they were making calls from the 8th-11th.

I got a call on Tuesday also, and an interview on Monday. Good luck!! :)

Hello everybody!

I had an interview on Monday with Cook Children's for the January 2014 Residency and I am now in the miserable waiting stages for a phone call or other news. I know that the website says that we will be notified next Friday, October 25, but does anybody know if they are known for letting us know sooner? Hope so anyways!!!

They won't let me message because I haven't post 15 quality posts yet? Lol. Well I think it went okay :/ not the questions I practiced, but I'm hoping for the best right now. After the interview I kept thinking about the scenario question and thought of things that I forgot to mention lol. And yes, I did take a tour. How did your interview go?

Omg too funny. I've been reading all of the other cohorts' posts to figure out the same thing! I'm going CrAzY!!! I just want to know :) i asked how many they accept and i was told about 20... I previously heard 15... So let's all hope for 20! =P

I had an interview on Monday also. It was y aeon time applying for their program. I will say or the last cohort, people get phone calls a day or 2 earlier than the rejection emails. =\ good luck to you guys.
