I was offered positions in both units today, and I accepted the job in the CICU!!! I am so excited and I can't wait until February to start .

Just an update: I interviewed last week for cardiology and CICU. I think both went well, and I should hear back by Wednesday. I am a big ball of nerves right now! Anybody else playing the waiting game?

Does anyone else's say inactive? I have interviews coming up this week for two different units and mine turned to inactive today so I wonder if they changed them all just because they took down the position postings? I don't think hope is lost for you!

OK from what I have found out today, each unit seems to have their own timeline of when they start interviewing people, so it is possible that the units you and I applied for just haven't gotten the ball rolling yet. Hope is not lost!

Hi! I started a thread yesterday for those of us applying. I haven't heard anything either, I spoke to HR and they said they have started interviewing but no selections have been made. This worries me that I have not been called for an interview when I applied the first day they were available! She couldn't confirm if my transcripts have gotten there but told me just keep checking my application status online and if it changes to "inactive" I'll know I was not selected. Not very encouraging! But I know they have tons of applicants to go through so I am still hopeful. I don't understand how I could not be selected for an interview, I know I have a strong application and a 4.0 GPA... Keep me posted, ALD08, let me know if you hear anything! I will do the same.

Also, any advice from those who have been through their interview process is much appreciated! I am especially interested in CICU!

Thought I would start a topic for those applying to this. Has anyone heard back from them yet? I applied to Cardiology, CICU, NICU, and Hem/Onc.

I have no idea, I wish we had some sort of timeline to know when we might hear back about an interview! :/ I also saw they start in February this time and not January.

Hi there, Children's has just posted their internships for January 2014. For those of you who interviewed for July - any tips for those of us applying this time? If you got in, how do you like it so far? I am very interested in the CICU so meraki86 if you see this any advice would be much appreciated!!! I don't have enough posts to send you a PM...

Just got my rejection email . Oh well, I have high hopes for Children's. Congrats to those who got in!!

Good to know! I had email them and all I got was "we will be posting positions closer to that time". :/

Is anybody else looking it Children's Medical Center in Dallas? If I don't get the residency at Cook that is where I want to go, but they are waiting until the last minute to post applications it seems... Frustrating because I want to know I'll have a job come January!

This is what I heard from someone else, too, but I hope it's not true! I feel like I was able to show a lot more about what I have to offer through my essay than I was in the interview. The waiting is rough, I hope we find out earlier than Friday!
