I've read through last year's version of this thread 100 times, so I thought I'd start a new one. I'm planning to apply for NCC's 2014 program. I'm taking A&P I right now (A- midterm grade, hoping to make that an A!) and will need to do the software applications class online in the winter session, so I won't be able to submit my app until final grades are out for that. Hopefully I won't be cutting it too close to the Feb 1st deadline! I'm taking my TEAS on November 18th.
Who else is applying? Where are you in the application process? Post your TEAS scores and GPA stats if you know them! My nursing GPA will be almost a 3.8 with an A- in A&P and an A in CSA105, but I dropped out two semesters in a row in 2006 (one semester medically excused but still on my transcript, the other no excuse, just screwed up being 19 and not very serious about my education at that time) I hope those hiccups won't count against me too much, luckily none of the classes I was taking at the time applied to the nursing program.
Have you applied to Bridgeport Hospital? It seems so hard to get into the community college programs unless you have a 4.0 and have 80 or better on the teas. I was waitlisted at Gateway and Naugatuck also. I applied to BHSN and was accepted. I never applied to BHSN because I wantef to go throught the community college but now I wish I had applied to BHSN a long time ago. They look at more then your grades..Good Luck to all who have applied.
Oh yea I forgot, last year I applied to BHSN, didn't get in there either. I don't know how I haven't given up.
I personally would never apply to a diploma program, especially since hard enough for ADN's to get a job, BUT I have heard that the earlier you apply to BHSN, the better chance you have.

Have you tried New England Tech? I know a few girls going there who didn't get in at Three Rivers, no waitlist, 18 month program, just take a placement test. No idea how the program is, since it requires no pre-req's.......but two girls I used to work with graduated there and are working RN's now. VERY expensive though.

The wait is a killer. Has anyone called or emailed Hartford?
