Connecticut Community Colleges - Applying for 2014

I've read through last year's version of this thread 100 times, so I thought I'd start a new one. I'm planning to apply for NCC's 2014 program. I'm taking A&P I right now (A- midterm grade, hoping to make that an A!) and will need to do the software applications class online in the winter session, so I won't be able to submit my app until final grades are out for that. Hopefully I won't be cutting it too close to the Feb 1st deadline! I'm taking my TEAS on November 18th.

Who else is applying? Where are you in the application process? Post your TEAS scores and GPA stats if you know them! My nursing GPA will be almost a 3.8 with an A- in A&P and an A in CSA105, but I dropped out two semesters in a row in 2006 (one semester medically excused but still on my transcript, the other no excuse, just screwed up being 19 and not very serious about my education at that time) I hope those hiccups won't count against me too much, luckily none of the classes I was taking at the time applied to the nursing program.

Has anyone asked an adviser when we will find out?

Someone from admissions told me today the official word is still only "before the 21st." I really want it to be Friday but no one seems to think it will be.

My advisor told me early April and mid April on two separate occasions.

I heard today that Hartford has selected all of the seats. The nursing departments have lists of the accepted students but aren't supposed to give out any information until the 21st. My guess is they give it to them in case there's some kind of technical problem with commnet. I can't imagine that they'd sit on this for another week as I'm sure they're getting harassed by people wanting to know when, so it should be any day now!

Strangely, it says they received my AP II info on 3/24/14 but it says status "not met". I'm pretty sure I got a B in that. :dead:

I didn't get an ineligible email so I guess that's good?

Got a promotion at work and am buying a house (moving in this week). The stress of that has mostly taken my mind off of this!!!! :up: I was hoping we would know this week though!!! Lol

Helena, my APII says the same thing with the same date. That's really strange if you already finished the course though, mine is in progress. Congrats on your promotion and your new home!

I don't understand the reason as to why they make us wait so long. Does anyone know? If they know who is going to be accepted by april 1st then why cant they give us a date to know when exactly we will find out. The anxiety is terrible! I am hoping for this week/weekend, but a advisor at Naugatuck told me she heard later in April. Just trying to be patient! lol

I'm driving myself crazy! I'm trying to compare my stats to people who were waitlisted last year. My goodness it is so competitive! Besides the lottery, your stats have to be awesome

I got waitlisted last year and I received the email April 12th so I'm guessing we will get the emails this coming Friday. I hope so, because I couln't take another week of waiting ugh

I really hope that's the case and we hear this week because I can't take this anymore!!! I'm so stressed out!! I wish I had perfect stats, then I would have nothing to worry about!!!!
