I would like some feedback about the interviewing process at Coney Island Hospital. It is part of the HHC. Also I graduated in may 2009 and havent landed a job after searching for a year. This would be my second job interview and I am puzzle cause is for the ER and I am assuming they are hiring graduate nurses. Can anyone provide me with feedback and suggestions on how to prepare?

Hey , how did you apply? My advice is to brush up on your interviewing skills before you go. Good Luck

Your lucky just to land a job. i graduated in jan 2010 still no job. Went to coney island hospital one day to fill out an application after sending my resume via fax. When i saw the stack of resume's in the lady went through to get my resume and attach it to the application i almost cried. Worse of all i have a associates degree. GOOD luck...practice with someone, google intreview questions, keep good eye contact, be charming, knowledgable about everything and relax.

Same here... I graduated May 2010. Had one school nurse job offer and that was the one and only call back after numerous applications.
I know it has been asked before, but how the heck do they expect us to get experience if we are not allowed to acquire it!! it's incredibly frustrating!

The NY HHC is so desperate for nurses, that I foresee no problem for a good nurse candidate. Relax, exude confidence, and knock 'em dead! Let us know how it went.
