  1. Armor is the preeminent correctional healthcare company in America. County healthcare is obsolete, way too wasteful, and prohibitively expensive for the local municipalities. Get real and realize that inmate care HAS to be privatized to make it cost effective. GO ARMOR-- improve inmate care for less!!
  2. Check your mail nsgluv..
  3. You are going to love working for Armor!! I'll get back to you later, and fill you in on all of your questions. I've been with the company for 6 mos and I LOVE MY JOB!!! PS e-mail me!! Are you in NY by chance?
  4. Sometimes we have other things to do than clean ****
  5. They asked me if I could work every other weekend!! (ha ha)
  6. Enough of importing foreign licences and paying them US wages! It lowers the standard of care, and undermines the nurses who worked their butts off to get licensed in America--where the live, and raised families, and are trying to fulfill the American dream!
  7. Pretty soon, the P.I. Nurses will demand less $ and lower our OWN wages. We have our own problems getting what we are worth!!! WE DO NOT NEED A GLUT OF FOREIGN NURSES!!!
  8. Then they should train for a job that's in some demand in their own country!!??
  9. Not everyone is guaranteed to reap the benefits of the USA. I'm quite sure the Phillipine Islands needs nurses too! Good luck!!
  10. hey-- i work in a correctional facility on li and let me tell you if you do a job good at the prison and show that you are a team player, you will get the keys to the jail. i know--- i did!!!!! good luck get back to me for more info....or if you just want to talk
  11. This process takes time. The bureaucracy that is NY is massive. Go on your interviews and show them why they should hire you. Be the best you can be and maybe one day you can join me in the ranks of corrections nurses!! GOOD LUCK!!
  12. We toured the jail, but no hands on yet. Waiting for my first IM experience.
  13. I think corrections nursing is a job you either love or hate! I think that I'm gonna love it!!
  14. Yea, they will probably wait to get all of the nurses they need to start the second go-round of training. Gook luck and keep ME posted as well!!
  15. All training is paid the full hourly wage, and since we are the start up crew, everybody trained as a unit--about 2 weeks after they were done with all of the initial interviews. I will be full-time. Any further questions, feel free to ask. When is you're friend due to start training?
