What kind of stethoscope should I get for nursing school?
I just ordered a Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscope on Medisave for exactly 69.99 with engraving and shipping included. I would have paid $115 dollars for the same stethoscope at allhearts.com. I believe this promotion is until May 3rd 2011 though.

SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN june 2011 class
Well you guys have being going back and forth about Brooklyn and what not. Marinoh I think your honesty is remarkable about Brooklyn, but by saying that Downstate "its located on Clarkson Ave. its implying a negative vibe or feeling about the people or neighborhood that live around there specifically "African Americans" Although you were not totally direct I can sense in your tone some type of bias. Anyways just be careful with your comments. We don't want to start a racial battle in here. Best of luck to all. P.s. By the way, don't waste your time digging up on my past posts to reply to my msg... lol

DOes anyone else planing to attend Empire State College, and can you give me some feedback about their BSN program if you are currently enrolled?

Need advice on how to respond to a manager after interview
Thanks everyone for your advice! I truly appreciate all of your feedback. I actually got a per diem job with a home care agency as a field nurse. I would be doing complete and thorough pts assessments and coordination of pt care rather than direct pt care. I expect to learn from this new nursing setting until my ideal nursing job opportunity arises. I the meantime I have an interview this coming week so wish me luck. Additionally, I am awaiting a response from an online BSN program that I applied to a few months ago. Lastly I would be taking a EKG- phlebotomy course this coming month to freshen up my skills. Luckily, I have been blessed with a wonderful family and I know that I would be blessed with a full time position nursing job soon. Thanks again everyone for your feedback and i wish all employed and unemployed RN's good luck in their career endeavors.

Need advice on how to respond to a manager after interview
Thanks crunch RN i appreciate your feedback. Actually, I never gave the impression of having an attitude at all when contacting the manager. I know the tone of my letter may sound like it as I was frustrated. But I guess I shouldnt not take things personal. Because like you say, the market is competitive so managers dont seemed to care about impressing potential employees. Again, I appreciate your feedback and would take it in consideration if im faced with a similar experience.

What do you think about my interview experience?

What do you think about my interview experience?
LOL... Thanks for the advice. I called at least once a week after 2 wks of being interviewed. I did not mention that I lost my drivers license after interview. Not sure if it was given to me back after photocopies were made. So i have to call for that as well and still didnt get any call back.

What do you think about my interview experience?
tHANK YOU![ quote=RNSuz;4754095]Let it go and move on, usually a thank you letter and one follow up phone call is sufficient. It truly does not sound like a good organization to work for anyway so don't bother with anymore follow up. Keep your chin up, you will find a job :)

Need advice on how to respond to a manager after interview
Thanks for your criticism. I agree with you to certain extent. On the other hand, dont you think think everyone is owe at least professionalism? you are rigth I should not expect an acknowledement of my letter but at least respect. The same respect we all have for the profession of nursing. Not sending a letter or calling an interviewee to let them know the position has been filled its just unprofessional is not mere courtesy.
