I really wanted to pass this time but I feel so exsausted from questions and theory all that stuff. Yesterday I tried to study like 4-5 hours but honestly I couldn't concentrate . There was other stuff going in my mind that I couldn't stop myself thinking about .. Ohhh my test is in last week of June . I don't know what to do . :-( .this is already my fourth time .I want to study but I can't . I know this thing sounds so weird but I am helpless . I need some inspiration . :-(

i test on the 20th and i feel like my brain is full. i intend on passing the first and only time i take this stupid ass test.
this is your 4th go around. you're still trying so obviously u want to succeed.
i know ur mind runs wild sometimes but just sit down focus and do the studying or else u'll be taking it a 5th time.
and remember its just a test and you dont need to know everything under the sun. just provide safe care.

I know what you mean about your head being full with information. I test on the 14th of July, 2012. Right now, as I'm typing..I'm feeling the same way! I took a break to come on here and look around for tips and encouragement. For me, whenever I feel this way, I just back off and do something else...usually take a nap or watch "The Big Bang Theory"..something to take my mind off studying or thinking about NCLEX!
Just back off studying when you feel this way, and do something relaxing...that doesn't involve you thinking so hard..watch TV or just laying down and close your eyes for a while...
Hope this helps.

I often felt like this near the end of the semester. Some of the things I would do to help- try changing your study approach. If your mind is wandering from reading, then try doing questions instead, or writing stuff down. Im very creative and get bored reading so I make colorful lists with different colored pens, or charts with markers, or i'd do tidbits of info on post-it notes and put them in different places around the house or car, or record myself reading to play while I was cleaning or driving. Also, sometimes a physical change can help! A quick 10 minute jog gets that blood up to your brain and I often could focus better after that. I also saw an improvement in concentration when I became consistent taking vitamins and fish oil. You have likely got yourself discouraged by now and thats nagging at the back of your head im sure! But listen, if you made it this far, you CAN do this. YOU CAN! Stop any thoughts that say otherwise, do not allow yourself to dwell on them, and replace any nasty thought with a good one. Make up a goofy mantra if you need to. You got this!!
thank you so much guys for your words.

As mitral said, it sometimes helps to change the method of studying. I will go between reading, doing questions, and listening to lectures. Dont underestimate taking a break for a day or 1/2 of a day either. I realize it sounds scary to loose all that study time, but honestly, once you start to feel burnt out and frustrated you are not retaining information. Get out of the house with some friends or family and have a good time. Get your mind off of the test for just a bit. You will feel refreshed and ready to hit the books.

I know exactly how you feel. I was in the same boat a year ago and my brain was fried from studying.
Mix up your study pattern---let's say, start with pedia, then F&E on day 1. And when you're done....you're done. Go do something else besides studying. Go relax and have fun. Day 2, endo & maternity or you can also start by answering 50 questions first then study. Then answer 50 questions again. Then you're done for the day. In between....Take time to walk the dog or just walk around the neighborhood. Treat yourself to an ice cream sundae one week, or pedicure another week, or take a night off for happy hour with friends.
Good luck to you!

Good luck to you & keep your head high. 'Try' not to over think the questions & usually your first instinct is correct!!

The best advice I can give is when your feeling overwhelmed take a break for one day. Its nothing you will forget or miss in a day. Relax and enjoy your day off. Your brain will feel refreshed for tomorrow. SAY SEVERAL PRAYERS!!!
YOU CAN DO THIS!!! :)

The best thing to do is NCLEX style questions and read the rationals. Each time you get an answer wrong, you learn a little bit of something new, just try to remember the BASIC information about it and then your brain will put 2 and 2 together when you see it again. Also, when you get an anwer wrong, and the rational doesn't help you, go back and BRIEFLY review your notes on the topic. Trying to "study" and remember every little thing leaves is soooo overwhelming...been there done that. The worst feeling in the world is waiting to take the NCLEX!!! I wish you luck!!!
Thank you so much guys . I really did that . Now feeling much better .you guys are best . Thanks again :-)
