Thought I would start a new thread on my next class coming up. I know Delta...you have already taken this class, and have commented elsewhere about some of the requirements.

Any words of wisdom you and others can share whould be appreciated.

I know linda93 I am counting the days too. Now just as I recently stated that management is not giving me a hard time, I have to make it through this week's paper.

NP ?

I'm an educator right now with plans to go on to the NP program.

I left another message on the management board...I've got "thought block" with this assignment.

Just got my assignment grade from week 3. This TA is really tough - I lost a full point for not citing a reference in the section in which we compared our local health department with another. This, despite the rubric not mentioning that one was required and despite having 10 references elsewhere in the assignment. I'm glad that some are not having issues with this class and can get good marks with less content but things can't end soon enough for me.

I totally feel the pain Chuckster.....it's almost as painful as that 10-3 Flyers loss  These TAs can drive us crazy. Seems unfair but it could be worse if we were in the classroom setting!

Chuckster…My advice would be from hear on out just assume that EVERYTHING needs to be referenced. This class drove me over the edge also. I "beat" you have my TA…LOL

EmJean…I appreciate your insight, but unfortunately, less = more doesn't always stand true when you are dealing w/a ton of TAs. I've reread some papers I've made 100% on and the content was definitely subpar. Then I've read papers where I "knew" everything was correct, and I've had points deducted for irrelevant stuff like (what color was a turban). So I don't think folks are "testy". I just think folks are articulating the fact that 1 script unfortunately doesn't work for all.

Okay ... officially worried because I didn't think Quiz 4 was hideous...:uhoh21:!! Wasn't great either - guessed on a couple but only had one "did I even read this" moment ... LOL!

Agree! IMO it was better and more straight forward than any of the other quizzes. Week 5 is upon us....yipppeeee!!!:yeah:

Due to work and family commitments, I didn't have a chance to get to much of the work for week 4 until now. I'll take the quiz later today and am not so concerned about that part of things, after all, I could hardly do worse than I did on the week 3 quiz. I am worried about the assignment though, since this TA is very tough - not on content, but on format.

The assignment grading rubric has a lot of detail on what content is required (though how you are supposed to thoroughly cover all of the required areas in a two-page, double-spaced paper is beyond me) but very little on format. So here's a question for those who've turned their assignments in already: Did you include an introduction and conclusion in your paper?

I am just about to turn my paper in, and I did include an intro and conclusion; however, some of the required points were worked in with the intro and conclusion for the sake of brevity. The actual body of the paper (not including cover page or references) ended up being about 2 1/2 pages. I hope it's OK, but I'm getting to that "I don't care" point.

I am sooooo sick of this classsssss!

Same here.......2 1/2 pages with intro and conclusion......per APA!! Impossible to keep it at 2 IMO. Down the home stretch!

I am laughing so I don't scream. I JUST submitted my paper....it was 4 pages!!!!!

I totally missed the "2 page" instruction in the announcement (I am kicking myself for not looking here before hitting the submit button). I could have left out some information and made it 2 pages. I am usually very careful...I'm so sick of this class that I'm being careless. UGGG. it is the last week. I'll let you know how many points are deducted for "overage" in length. LOL...
