Thought I would start a new thread on my next class coming up. I know Delta...you have already taken this class, and have commented elsewhere about some of the requirements.
Any words of wisdom you and others can share whould be appreciated.
I am laughing so I don't scream. I JUST submitted my paper....it was 4 pages!!!!!I totally missed the "2 page" instruction in the announcement (I am kicking myself for not looking here before hitting the submit button). I could have left out some information and made it 2 pages. I am usually very careful...I'm so sick of this class that I'm being careless. UGGG. it is the last week. I'll let you know how many points are deducted for "overage" in length. LOL...
Next assignment: write a comprehensive narrative of the history of public health nursing, including key nursing theorists, major community health developments, and analysis of current public health research as related to your community. Paper is to include 25 refereed sources as well as in-text citations, and paper should be half a page in length.
Aaaaaand....go.
I can guarantee that the extra half-page would cost at least a point from my TA. I've already changed from 12 point to 11 point font and may cheat on the margins (.95 inch) a bit, but need to bring it in at 2 pages for this TA or risk getting marked down. The guiding principle for this class is 100% APA formatting - content is almost irrelevant.I am just about to turn my paper in, and I did include an intro and conclusion; however, some of the required points were worked in with the intro and conclusion for the sake of brevity. The actual body of the paper (not including cover page or references) ended up being about 2 1/2 pages. I hope it's OK, but I'm getting to that "I don't care" point.I am sooooo sick of this classsssss!
That is completely ridiculous! It would appear everyone's experience revolves around the quality of the TA. How sad and disgusting. This has been on ongoing issue since I started last Fall. Each class I feel like we're drawing straws and I pray I don't get the short one. So sorry for you chuckster...sounds like you got the short one this round. When do you graduate????
HAHAHAHHA! Don't forget the intro and summary!!!Next assignment: write a comprehensive narrative of the history of public health nursing, including key nursing theorists, major community health developments, and analysis of current public health research as related to your community. Oh, and by the way, when skimming next week's stuff, I thought we had until end of day Saturday to turn stuff in, but it looks like the assignment is due at 0800 on Saturday...which really sucks, because I have a tough schedule next week. Anyhoo, everyone double check due dates so you don't miss out!

Yeah…Everything is always due on Sat by 8am, unless the TA writes a post indicating otherwise. The BEST move is to just make Friday at 11:59pm your deadline.

Well....I revised the paper and sent it in an email to the TA. I explained I attached the 4 page version instead of the 2.5 page version. It is only 11am...I'm 13 hours early....maybe she will use that one.
