Hey everyone. I was just wondering who applied to Columbia University's ETP program.
I got an email today telling me to keep logging into the website where I applied to check on the status of my application. Has anyone else got this email? And does anyone know approximately when they begin to post decisions?
I'm nervous as this was my #2 school.
Does anyone accepted to the ETP program know when we will receive information about scholarships/financial aid?
I received a short letter about financial aid along with my acceptance letter. It's pretty vague, and mostly gives instruction on how to fill out the FAFSA according to Columbia's guidelines. I think we'll be getting more information in the mail, and at Visitor's Day.
On another note, I am still running on adrenaline from last night. Did anyone sleep?

Regarding financial aid packages, Oscar has stated in an email that for those who submitted the FAFSA on time, financial aid info will be sent out by Friday afternoon.
I've heard similar things. A friend of mine just finished the Accelerated BSN program at NYU and said the same things about her program. I guess the classes and schedules were so disorganized at NYU that the students actually organized a petition to the Dean to demand changes. She heard similar things were happening at Columbia.
Maybe it's because nursing is emerging as a big academic field. People aren't really sure how to organize it and how to deal with it. I mean look at the schools that we applied to their prerequisites were all over the place. I had to keep some of my applications to a minimum just because I didn't have some of the prereq's done.
Fionagurl, Zoogurl3!
I too am on the West Coast! We should definitely talk! I have been to NY once and loved it... although I didn't get to explore the area around Harlem. Anyhow, I'm already on Virgin checking flight prices for visiting day. Are you girls going to be on or off campus? I got into the dual specialty for Women's Health and Oncology. Hit me back!
Congratulations all around!

I wouldn't worry yet about the DNP sitch. Columbia's at the forefront of nursing and will make sure to accomodate their students.
