Hi AN fellows!

I know it is super early to start such a thread but I was hopping to connect with potential applicants/classmates for Columbia SON MDE 2018 program!

If you are applying to Columbia SON for summer 2018, let's share our experiences, ideas, thoughts and such!

Did you all complete the optional statement?

Hi @mma22664, I also have a red X next to my GRE test but I called the admissions office and they said that's fine if you're planning on getting it waived per the minimum GPA requirement! I did complete the optional statement. Perhaps check your spam folder as someone else suggested earlier!

@Amcdade After you received the acceptance letter from Columbia, did they ask you to send them dean's letter or certification from your undergraduate institution? Thank you very much for your help

Hmm, I submitted before the priority deadline and haven't received an email yet. There's a red X next to my GRE test but I'm able to get that waived.

I also submitted my application before the priority date and have not received an email :(... I've noticed that the people who have received an email also did the DNP program.... I only did the MDE.

Don't be discourages @ NPDanie. Did you check your spam/junk folder? I did the MDE application only a day before the priority deadline and received that email about four days later but found it in my spam/junk folder.

Yeah I checked. I submitted mine on October 2nd. Lol I emailed them and asked though because maybe I messed up something on the gre being that I was exempt from it. Who knows

I applied for MDE/DNP. I emailed Admissions and they said they'll be reviewing applications shortly!

Has anyone asked whether Fall semester grades will be taken into consideration for acceptance?

@mma22664 I don't know the exact answer to this, but I remember my friend having to submit his Fall grades in before Christmas. So i would assume so. He still had two courses pending for the Spring, but he was still accepted into the program. (He had a super fierce essay).

That's good to know! I know some nursing programs don't look at anything after the deadline...
