I know it is super early to start such a thread but I was hopping to connect with potential applicants/classmates for Columbia SON MDE 2018 program!

Hey everyone, I'm also applying for the program. Debating whether or not I should consider DNP program only because I want to do CRNA. I wish they offered MDE/CRNA in addition to MDE/DNP..

Nice congrats @Jsbinnyc! Hope you hear good news!

I put the 10/02 priority deadline as the date of my GRE exam along with 0's in all the values since I am exempt from the GRE requirement. When I check my application in the portal there's still a red X on the application check list. Is this the case for anyone else?

Hey @futureAGPCNP, I get the same message of X's. I made sure to include in my Communications section that I was exempt from taking the GRE's. However, I did get the same email about my application be complete and moving on to the faculty admission evaluation. If you haven't received it yet it might be in your Junk/Spam folder because that is where mine was.

Thanks @soydelmonte! I actually didn't include that in the communications section of my application. I will probably call them today, thanks! I submitted right on 10/02 so perhaps that's why I haven't received that email yet. The only email I received was the one that reads:

"Thank you for submitting an application to Columbia University School of Nursing.

Your application will be reviewed in a two-step process:

The Office of Admissions will review your application to confirm receipt of all necessary materials. Once an initial review is complete, you will be sent an email prompting you to check your application status. If incomplete, instructions will be provided to complete your application. Your application MUST BE COMPLETE before moving to the second step."

Hi everyone! I'm applying to the MDE/DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty. I have everything ready but my timed writing and video essay. I know previously there was a link within the application that took you directly to both the video and timed writing sections. However, I was looking through my email and saw this:

"Thank you for your interest in Columbia Nursing. As you continue with your application, please note that we have made a change in how you access the Video Essay and Timed Writing pieces through the VidCruiter platform. Previously, we posted a link in the application. This link has now been deactivated; you will now receive an e-mail from VidCruiter with a unique link to your application. If you have already received the link, you are good to go. If you have yet to receive the e-mail, it will be coming over the next few days. Once you complete these parts, please click the confirmation box in the Video Essay page of your application. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions."

This was sent on August 24th. I never got an email from VidCruiter! Before I reach out to Columbia, did any of you have this issue? What did you end up doing? Good luck everyone!

Hey! I ended up emailing them with my name and they sent me a new link right away!

I would contact admissions and ask for another link. That office is incredibly helpful!

Just got the email that says my app is being forwarded to the Faculty Admissions Committee.

Hmm, I submitted before the priority deadline and haven't received an email yet. There's a red X next to my GRE test but I'm able to get that waived.
