I know it is super early to start such a thread but I was hopping to connect with potential applicants/classmates for Columbia SON MDE 2018 program!

If you are applying to Columbia SON for summer 2018, let's share our experiences, ideas, thoughts and such!

I spoke with Financial Aid and they don't take prerequisite grades into consideration for the scholarship.

I'm right there with you...this waiting is the worst, however I'm sure it will all be worth it soon. I was reading last year's thread, and I noticed that the decisions started arriving around February 3rd. I can't be sure it will be the same for us, but here's to everyone getting great news and soon! Fingers crossed and best wishes to everyone.

Hopefully it is the same for us.... I can't wait any longer than the beginning of Feb.!!!! They should just accept all of us and call it a day lol.

Do we receive our official answer via email or postal mail? Or just have to check the portal ourselves?

From my understanding we will receive an e-mail stating that decisions are up. Decisions may also be up on the portal before e-mails go out. So I would check both portal and e-mail when decision time comes around!

If I remember form my friends acceptance, he had to go through the portal.

I was accepted into Stony Brook University a few weeks back!

It was originally my safety school, but now I'm leaning more towards the SUNY over private school option.

That's awesome! Congrats to you both!!

Don't blame you on leaning towards SUNY... Private schools are so expensiveee.
