Columbia Post-BSN DNP ( June 2021)

Updated:   Published

Hey guys! Thought I'd start a thread for Columbia DNP hopefuls. I applied for the June 2021 cycle for the AG-ACNP specialty. Would love to hear from others while waiting for decisions!

Anyone know how long you have to respond to them regarding your decision?  I got the e-mail but don't want to open it yet because I got few activities going on; not looking forward to being moody if not accepted.

It is my first choice, and I’d like to attend! I’m going to email NYU about an ETA for a decision, mostly to compare how much more expensive Columbia would be if I get into NYU as well. But I have a feeling I will choose Columbia regardless! ?

I had the opposite experience - Applied to NYU and got wait-listed and then accepted into Columbia.  I am confident that either choice will work out well.  If you do pick Columbia, I will see you in June!

Got into Pmhnp with scholarship!!??? still can’t believe it.

Congratulations! Excited for everyone, it seems most of the posters on this thread who have been anxiously waiting have been accepted!

Has anyone else not received an email or update on the portal? It's getting close to 5pm, I'm wondering if I'm going to hear today. Based off how they released the MDE decisions, I'm pretty sure I know what this means but hopefully will get confirmation today!

I understand it might not be a great moment right now, but has anyone received a rejection?

I just got in to the FNP program with a scholarship!

JHU is my first choice but I haven't heard from them yet. I read that someone received their admission's letter today, so I am also thinking I was rejected from JHU.

Would people mind sharing their work experiences / certifications?

Sure! I have 2 years work experience in ICU (Level I Trauma/Academic Hospitals); I also worked in research (pre-clinical). I have my CNRN and SCRN certifications.

does Columbia let you defer? because of COVID and the current climate of everything?

Specializes in psychiatry.

Curious about deferment as well! Also if anyone wants to find an apartment in nyc together, let me know. Currently stressed about making this big move in my life.

By any chance, has anyone not heard anything at all? I still haven’t received an email or update on my portal... anyone else?

I haven't. Is the portal where you can view and submit material and also view your application checklist? or is it another site. I applied to midwifery.
