Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.
Anyone else?!
Do any current students know what is the point of reading these two books? 1. Reading: Fadiman, A. 1998. The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. Farrar, Straus and Giroux: New York. ISBN: 0-3745-2564-1
2. Reading: Craig, Gloria P. Clinical Calculations Made Easy, Fifth Edition. ISBN/ISSN: 9781608317905. Chapters 1-3. (This reading must be completed prior to beginning summer courses.)
The ETP Accepted Students page is up and I am just wondering about that.
How do we purchase Typhon?

The ETP program director wants us to read the first book because it gives us a look into the world of medicine and what it did for this particular child. The second book is the medical dosage text book and they want us to come in knowing what is in chapters 1-3 so we're not playing catch-up when class begins.
Does anyone know if we still have to submit official transcripts and GRE forms? I thought we uploaded our unofficial forms into the application and then would have had to submit official forms IF admitted, though I haven't received any information on if/when we should do that. Anyone know?
My general approach to all of this is: one thing at a time. We have such a massive endeavor on our hands, especially those relocating. Columbia has been very good about laying out what they need from us with plenty of notice. I haven't seen any information regarding transcripts since the initial application period and there was definitely no mention during Visiting Day. Keep working on the approaching deadlines. Worst case scenario, we're told to provide official transcripts and have to place orders.
I don't mean to be flippant. I'm just seeing a lot of worry across the facebook group and want to encourage folks to not make themselves overwhelmed by jumping too far ahead. I feel confident that Columbia is setting us up to succeed.

Question about ordering scrubs - do these get shipped to our home address, or do we pick them up from the book store during orientation?
