Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.
Anyone else?!
Hahahaha that's hilarious! I've already warned my parents and friends to not bring it up until I give them the news. Also, I feel more comfortable freaking out in my room lol so I took the day off. Either I'll be crying myself to sleep or celebrating
Ooh freaking out at home sounds good now that you say it like that...I'll be in Chicago for a mini-vacation with a friend. Hopefully we're celebrating, otherwise our hosts are in for some awkward, potentially tearful moments. I could potentially be hearing back from three programs next week. There's gotta be some good news in that group somewhere!
a current etp student told me that it seems like the admissions committee puts the most emphasis on the personal statement. as in, grades and classes are checked to see if you fulfilled their minimum requirements, but it's your personal statement that determines whether or not you're accepted. the student is in the fnp track so this might not be the case for all the specialties.
columbia's cohorts are large so hopefully we all hear good news next week!

This gives me hope!! LOL I'm afraid not interviewing doesn't give us a real chance. I've seen tons of people who have amazing grades but horrible bedside manner and really only do it for the money. Whereas other people like myself, don't look as appealing on paper but will blow your mind when you see what they're capable of. ehh whatever.. it can go either way but thanks for your post because it made me feel a little better lol...
