Columbia ETP 2010

Published

Hey Y'all!

I'm getting ready to apply to the Columbia's ETP for 2010. I was just wondering who else was applying and what you were doing to make your application stronger! Also where else are you applying and what do your stats look like (GPA, GRE, experience, etc) ? I'm getting nervous as I start the whole application process and just thought I'd turn to the forums for some support and guidance!

I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with y'all! Hope to hear from you soon! :)

For anyone still on the waiting list, I wanted to let you know there's another spot available for FNP as of today. I just submitted my form this afternoon and have decided to go with another program due to the large difference in tuition costs.

Good luck to all of you and enjoy the program at Columbia! I have heard great things about it and am sad I cannot join you.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone received their full financial aid package yet?

Hey does anyone know when we have to accept our financial aid package by? I havent received the full package, just the SON so far, and wanted to see everything before I submit my reply.

Still no full Fin Aid package here? Just SON scholarship.

Did anyone hear from housing yet? I forgot...but when are we suppose to hear from them?

I called housing friday, and she said second week of April. So hopefully soon!

Is it just me or does this school seem a bit disorganized?

Frankly, its starting to concern me.......

i did my fafsa... but no respond about SON scholarship. super worried. tried calling the financial aid office a few times, but no one is there. so i left 2 msgs with no reply. how come i never got the email regarding SON scholarship???

The school just made significant changes to it's financial aid process that will probably delay your getting your packages. The info is here: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/sfs/docs/Direct_Loans/index.html

Thanks for the info Mission ;)

I have not received anything yet either. No SON scholarship, nothing. I'm with you Mindlor, I thought that the school would be a bit more organized. I'm getting really worried, we are less than 2 months away. I saw on a post from last year that a student ended up not attending because he could not get his financial situation resolved in time.

I was missing some documentation which I submitted personally last week, was told that by the end of the week I would hear something but nothing yet. Will post once I hear something.

thanks mission. how stressful... i guess we should try and keep ourselves busy with the glorious summer reading and med-math practice :p

I just spoke with FinAid at CU and she said that we SHOULD (not sure what to believe...) have our financial aid packages by Monday at the latest...Lets keep our fingers crossed!
