  1. You're so welcome! Hope it works out for you! I don't think I ever received a response from the board of nursing, so I just went ahead and took the course. Good luck!
  2. Yes! I took the one from Barkley. It's the 45 hour course specific for CA. Although at that time it was a little cheaper ?. I took it in 2019.
  3. Hii! I ended up taking the pharm course mentioned above in the original post and it met the furnishing requirement for CA. Hope this helps!
  4. Hello ? just wondering what you ended up doing also. I am also in the same predicament and am receiving no response from the board of nursing. Thank you!
  5. I called housing friday, and she said second week of April. So hopefully soon!
  6. i'm actually number 8 haha. so we'll see!
  7. hiii all. i got a letter today in the mail saying i was waitlisted. i'm actually a bit surprised since i expected a rejection! well good luck to you all!
  8. cstark, That's actually my plan too. I want to live in the dorms during the summer and then live off-campus in the fall. I'm from California too, and it just feels too hectic to find a place to live in NYC so fast especially since I don't know the area at all. I also don't have time to fly back to NY to search. I am reallly worried about getting into the dorms though. But I will definitely be looking for roomates for the fall!
  9. hi everyone! i just got an acceptance email =) good luck to everyone waiting!
  10. This is another link I wish I had when researching schools! It also includes what programs are available for the school. http://www.bestnursingdegree.com/programs/direct-entry-msn/ good luck!
  11. WillMak, my interview didn't go as well as I had hoped =(. I guess we'll see though! Thanks for asking. Congrats again on your acceptance! It's a great accomplishment!
  12. Hey guys! I'm surprised they added another interview too! They kept emphasizing that they wish they could accept all of us and would be happy to have all of us, but unfortunately there are just not enough seats. So I also wouldn't assume that they just didn't like the candidate pool (although that was my first thought too!) My interview yesterday only had 13 people as well. Maybe they're just trying to accommodate more interviewees? Who knows! Good luck everyone!
  13. thank you so much WillMak! eeek! it's almost tomorrow!
  14. hey everyone...for those who've already had their interviews, how professional should we dress? is wearing a suit too much? or do most people wear suits? thank you in advance! anyone else out there have their interview tomorrow?! i'm so nervous! haha
  15. hi jessica, good luck on your interview! if you search through the old Rush GEM threads, they have some pretty good advice to prepare you for the interview. i had a phone interview last week because i couldn't make it out to chicago. i only spoke to one person and it was a pretty quick interview (prob around 10-15min)! he asked questions like, What nursing qualities will you bring? What makes a good nurse? Do you have a support system in Chicago? How do you handle stress? What changes do you think you'll need to make in order to be successful?..etc. Just be yourself, and I'm sure you'll be fine! good luck!!
