Hi,
I plan on applying for the anesthesia program at Columbia and I wanted to know how the background of those that have been accepted look like to see if I'm even competitive enough apply.
Thanks!
so i'm doing my fafsa, and on the "dependency determination" page it mentions that you "may want to answer questions about your parents if you are a health profession/nursing student." anybody have thoughts on that? my folks won't be involved in paying for school even though they have some money, and i make very little i.e.
@princerox I faced the same dilemma on my fafsa and in the end decided not list my parents. I found no evidence in my search online that it actually helps you to list your parents income. In the past its usually harmed me. My parents are also not going to be involved in paying for school, so I'm not really sure what there logic is. If anyone has better information please share :)

An earlier poster (prooxfordcomma) said at the most recent info session they mentioned that they were hoping to have decisions out by the first Friday in February...so that would be next week the 3rd. Last year they heard around the 7th, yes? So this might be pretty accurate. We can only hope!!
